@starbee no reason to feel guilty! We plan for a good $200 drop at each Expo! If it’s in the budget we don’t feel guilty or like we shouldn’t get something we want. So much cool stuff!
January 23, 2020 at 10:58 am #123550@starbee I’m sorry you didn’t really celebrate! Just keep celebrating at home! I always buy a bunch of stuff at expo! So don’t feel guilty!!!
January 23, 2020 at 1:06 pm #123561@starbee We have the chalkboard-style Be Our Guest dinner plates, bread plates, wine glasses, and water glasses. We got the silverware with the classic mickey cut-out on the handles and Lumiere to add to that set. We’re using it as our “Fine Dining (we suggest) set”. We knew we’d be spending plenty of money on those other things (and I’m holding back some for my future lightsaber as well) before we got to the expo.
I don’t blame any of you for dropping cash like it’s hot at those expos!
January 23, 2020 at 2:08 pm #123566I have that same silverware and I love it! I need to get the serveware set too. I know you didn’t do it on purpose, I just felt like that when when we met you. I was carrying our large bag of goodies and y’all had nothing and I thought, “What? Doesn’t everyone buy all the things at the Expo? Just me, oh, oops”
January 23, 2020 at 2:34 pm #123569@starbee Nah, I don’t judge how other people spend their money! We’ve been judged enough over how we spend ours that it irks me when people do that. Besides, I felt the opposite of you: “Wow, they have so much stuff! Are we going to walk out of here regretting we didn’t buy stuff too?” We didn’t regret it, thankfully!
January 24, 2020 at 5:47 pm #123663It is a dream of mine to one day run the Dopey. I am in awe of those of you who have done it. @RocketEAR99 Yes! We ALMOST made a meet-up happen. It’s amazing how close we were and just couldn’t get it to line up. I have been fortunate to be able to meet several D-Cotters: I believe RIDisneyPinGuy was my first at Epcot years ago, followed by @TerryM97 (twice), @msmurphy (twice), @Acamm, @Cammelot, and most recently @starbee. D-Cotters are the best!!

Go live your dream! seriously, I hope you can do it one day. Heck, I might even do it with you Thanks! I still can’t believe I did

I almost want to do it again I want to ride Expedition Everest during the full!
January 27, 2020 at 10:35 am #123770@starbee That would be fun in better conditions than we had! We’re not ruling out doing the Full again, but like I said before…it would have to be special circumstances like knowing we had other friends doing it too.

Agreed! That’s why I didn’t do it this time. Never say never but I don’t think I would do Dopey again. I also don’t think I would run the full either, although I’d be more likely to do that over Dopey. It’s having the time for training.
January 27, 2020 at 1:36 pm #123806@starbee Yup! It’s all about that training! I think if I aspired to the Disney Full Marathon again. I would consider the Goofy Challenge, but not the Dopey Challenge. I now know I *can* do the Dopey Challenge, so I just wouldn’t see the need in getting up so early 4 days in a row like that. Otherwise, if I went to run just 1 race that week, it would be the Half like Heather and Ryan.

I’m with you there. If I were going for one race I’d do the half, maybe the full if others were doing it with me. I would also consider the Goofy Challenge but I wouldn’t do Dopey. I don’t need to do it again.
