If you’ve ever been to Disneyland and rode Autopia, you know the last 16 years it’s been sponsored by Chevron and they did a major overhaul of the ride and cars to look like the Chevron cars you see as toys at any Chevron gas station. While sure, they were cute……they were super loud and not really….tomorrowish.

With Honda taking over as the new sponsor for Autopia, I’ve been really excited to see what changes they’d bring (and TBH, I haven’t gone on the ride since it reopened under Honda)

Are the new cars going to be electric? At Magic Kingdom the smell (and sounds) of the Speedway always reminds me of Puerto Vallarta. :p

Just read the article, fuel efficient engines, that’s better, but electric would be way cool, hope they update the Magic Kingdom cars eventually!

It looks pretty cool, but I agree. Let’s make it truly futuristic, electric or even solar powered!

It looks great! This comment under the article made me laugh outloud:

“Do not miss the long lines and the smell of 100 lawn mowers! Hello future!”

Thats exactly what I thought! The line always moved really quickly but listening to the sound of lawn mowers and the gas smell for 30+ minutes sometimes is not pleasant! I’ll be sure to force my mom to go on this with me in May so we can see for ourselves if it’s improved at all.
