Friday was a day that seemed to promise thunderstorms, but didn’t deliver until evening. Being our last day, we slept in. Christy and Mom went down to Coligny Park to go shopping in the late morning. Shopping is not something Dad and I go for, so we stayed back at the condo with Maverick and stayed cool. I finished reading Never Call Retreat and played more minecraft. Around 1pm, Dad and I walked over to Coligny (about a 15 minute walk) to join the ladies for some Ice Cream at the Frozen Moo. I think this place had 90-some flavors of Ice Cream and Fro Yo! Not exaggerating by the way! Fortunately one case was all low-fat and no sugar added stuff so I knew immediately I could ignore it and select from the remaining 80 flavors :p We all picked a diverse array of flavors. I picked a 3-scoop Hot Fudge Sundae with Cookie Monster, Pirate’s Plunder and Butterscotch Bomb. Pirate’s Plunder had chocolate, peanut butter and caramel candies throughout. The other two flavors you can probably guess what was in those Needless to say, AH-JUNE-ZING! I will say our local creamery back home is slightly better with far fewer flavors, but that wouldn’t stop me from going back to the Frozen Moo again!
After Ice Cream, of course the ladies wanted to show Dad and I some things in the other shops they were considering purchasing :p Oh well! After about a half hour of that, Dad and I walked back to the condo and the ladies came back some time later. For dinner we had so many leftovers from previous meals that we just had a mixed leftover night. I had another burrito, and that was quite enough food for me We took Maverick down to the beach one last time and he was as active as ever! He didn’t want to leave and neither did we, but we had to :'( So we went back and packed up some things and got a good night’s rest.
Saturday we left at about 8:00am to head home. The drive home was smooth and we got home around 9:00pm. All of us were reasonably tired from the long haul but satisfied with another great vacation
