September 26, 2017 at 7:50 pm #50015@stupidjudy I hope you are doing well and able to keep up with your challenge! We’re behind you!
September 27, 2017 at 7:48 am #50029Thanks Scott, I have done my 100 swings a day Monday and Tuesday!
I chatted with a friend of mine who is a certified Kettlebell instructor and he suggested I not do the challenge posted but instead focus on getting a minimum of 100 swings daily and try to get back into Turkish Getups, once the swings with the 8kg get “easy” to move up to the 16kg.

September 29, 2017 at 6:58 am #50389Are you guys still working on this? If I start Sunday, what day would it be?
September 29, 2017 at 7:00 am #50390@dedfish I never started … October 1st is a good start date though.
September 29, 2017 at 9:01 am #50408I have switched my challenge to 100 swings a day, yesterday was a rest day for me but I will get them done tonight! (I do 60 swings, switching hands every 10, short pause after the 60, then do the last 40, sometimes I do two handed swings for the last 20).
Are you familiar with Turkish Getups? I will see if I can get some of those done over the weekend as well.
September 29, 2017 at 9:17 am #50414I think so, if not there is always youtube! Any recommendations on what size I should start off on?
September 29, 2017 at 9:33 am #50417@10dedfish, will you be doing this at the gym? I would say start light and go heavier if you don’t find it challenging! I am using an 8kg at the moment, I am thinking by the end of October I should be ready for the 12kg. I googled and found this which might help!
Here is my guide on choosing the correct Kettlebell size:
Are you out of shape or older?
Do you have little experience with weight training?
A woman should probably start anywhere close to a 15 lb. size.
Men should consider the 26 lb. (12 kg).Are you in average to good shape?
Do you have some experience in weight training?
An average woman should start with an 18 pounder (8 kg).
An average man should start with a 35 pounder (16 kg).Are you in excellent shape?
Are you experienced in weight training?
A strong woman can start with a 26-pounder (12 kg). Most women will progress to a 35-pounder.
A strong man can start with a 44-pounder (20 kg), but there is no shame in using a 35-pounder (16 kg).
Most men progress to a 53-pounder (24 kg), the standard issue in the Russian military.September 29, 2017 at 9:49 am #50425Here’s a good clip, oh boy, this is gonna hurt lol
October 2, 2017 at 7:57 am #50611Did my 100 swings Friday, Saturday and Sunday! Did not attempt the TGU, have to get on that.
I think my goal for this week will be to get 120 swings done every day.
October 2, 2017 at 8:15 am #50616I officially gave up on the challenge I keep saying I’m going to do it, and then just continue to do my regular daily workouts
