I am not going to spell it right but we had a fabulous meal at Monsieur Paul’s our last trip. Of course, Yachtsman’s is also a go to favorite!
April 5, 2018 at 10:48 am #72383I’m a true Norwegian. I made my family do Askerhus Royal Banquet hall. Even though I have all boys! But they loved the princesses anyway. I loved the food. Really reminded me of my grandma.
Otherwise we pretty much do quick service burgers, fries. It’s less of a hassle with little ones. But there is also a difference in quick service burgers! The best ones I’ve found are at Backlot Express!
April 5, 2018 at 11:01 am #72384AnonymousInactiveXPThat’s a tough question. I think our favorite quick service is Flame Tree BBQ in Animal Kingdom. Table service would probably be Le Cellier or Liberty Tree Tavern. We don’t always eat Le Cellier because of the $ but we hit Liberty Tree and Flame Tree every trip.
April 5, 2018 at 11:02 am #72385@sarahjoe37 I love that! How cool that you got to have some of your heritage based food there! And I’m sure the princesses loved your little princes too!
Backlot Express does have good burgers!April 5, 2018 at 11:10 am #72386@disneyfan1966 You spelled it right!
April 5, 2018 at 11:11 am #72388@Nascfan – look at this face! He loved all the attention.
April 5, 2018 at 11:11 am #72389@sarahjoe37 That’s awesome you have Norwegian ancestry! Norway is my favorite country in the world. I like Backlot Express too
April 5, 2018 at 11:16 am #72391Oh my gosh Sarah, he’s adorable! He’s definitely smitten and got pixie dust in his eyes!
April 5, 2018 at 11:42 am #72412We have to pick one?! There’s so many, i’m bad at picking favorites haha My pick goes to Teppan Edo at Epcot. On the west coast my favorite is Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen, I’ll call that my #2..
Ralph Brennans is DELISH. Their shrimp and grits is to die for.
April 5, 2018 at 11:43 am #72413My favorite topic… FOOD! Like others, I can’t pick just one, so I will choose from categories:
Magic Kingdom: Skipper’s Canteen – Outstanding!
Epcot: San Angel Inn… I know it gets a bad rap, but I love it every time!
Animal Kingdom: Tusker House… for Breakfast only! Its a great way to start the day!
Hollywood Studios: Mama Melrose… omgosh delish!
Resorts: Hoop Dee Doo… not for the food… but for the experience!
Disney Springs: Jock Lindsay’s Hangar Bar…. Yup… we could sit there all day soaking up the atmosphere!I’m sure that my choices will change tomorrow, and the next day… because I have so many favorites and it depends on my mood
You know that come November this list will change
April 6, 2018 at 9:05 am #72447@bexruns Totally! I started my daily planning spreadsheet and have listed Carnation Cafe, Carthay Circle, Blue Bayou, and a few others

Carnation Cafe has THE BEST breakfast. And Joffreys coffee
April 7, 2018 at 9:19 am #72535This topic seems to pop up anywhere Disney is discussed, and I can never narrow down to one choice…
I will say the list is ever evolving, and my selections today definitely do not mirror those of 10 years ago. Some favorites have fallen off, some places have stepped up or surprised us. But anywho, here’s my list:Favorite Table Service: Coral Reef – Epcot. Coral Reef kinda has it all for us. Great decor/theme, we’ve always had a great meal and great service. It is the only restaurant that has gone out of their way to ‘plus’ our experience every time we have visited for a celebration. The Mahi is my go to entree, Chocolate Wave for dessert.
Favorite Signature Dining: LeCellier-Epcot: This is a tough one. There are two that could really battle it out, but I’ll lean toward LeCellier just based on more experience with it. The Mushroom Fillet is legit, but I miss the Cream Cheese Mashed as a side. Maple Creme Brûlée is delicious but be sure to cut the sweetness with a cup of coffee.
Favorite Character Dining: Garden Grill-Epcot: This one wins for both breakfast and dinner. The food has always been hot, tasty, and plentiful. Service has never been worse than ‘good’. Character interaction cannot be beat, with every visit including at least two stops from each character during the meal… And you rotate though Living with the Land… I mean c’mon, no other dining can claim that!
Favorite Buffet/Family Style (non-character): Boma – Animal Kingdom Lodge. Boma has ousted a long-favorite in ‘Ohana a few trips back, and is now a must-do for us. Main reasons, variety and consistency. While ‘Ohana’s service and food quality dropped-off, Boma still provides good service (especially for a buffet) and the food has maintained quality. Only drawback is Disney Transportation to AKL is painful at best.
Favorite Breakfast: Kona Cafe– Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Tonga Toast, Kona French Press… [mic drop]
Favorite Quick Service (Parks): Sunshine Seasons Land Pavilion, Epcot. Sunshine Seasons has held this title for a while. Offering table-service quality in QS convenience. There are others that could fight for the title, and some new contestants stepping up. I could see the champion of this category changing hands with my family going to more QS offerings vs. TS. I also love Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe, but the toppings bar is not the champion it once was and the loss of the infamous ‘plastic cheese’ is crushing.
Favorite Quick Service (Resorts/Disney Springs): Landscape of Flavors– Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. Landscape of Flavors really can be a heavyweight contender against average Table Service offerings food-wise. Our last experience at Wolfgang Puck Express knocked them out of the top spot, and LoF has shined on every visit. If you are staying at PoP! Century, it is worth the extra walk to eat at AoA’s LoF so keep that in mind. Top choices are the BYO pasta and an Everything Brownie.
So that is my list of dining favorites… Hope that helps!
April 7, 2018 at 12:43 pm #72549It’s very difficult to only pick one! It’s definitely a toss up between Le Cellier and ‘Ohana! I love them both and on this last trip I was able to make it to both of them. It was fabulous!
