Oh, it’s been ages since I’ve been down that walkway behind the Speedway. Last time was probably for MNSSHP! Great idea!

@kcbostson I can honestly say that I’ve never been there! Thanks!

we like the spot by the castle at Magic Kingdom, its one of the side sidewalks that goes up by the castle. Also I like sitting by the area by the tower of terror. I love hearing the screams and looking up at the tower, it used to be a smoking area but I think they changed that now.

There are a couple benches on that walkway, good one @Breesmommy5!

When you go to Wilderness Lodge, check out some of the sitting areas on the second and third floors (I think). They are nice, quiet, and kind of tucked away. The lobby of WL is just a nice place to sit and relax. The fire, the music, ah…wishing I was there right now. :)

@ABeach Their lobby is awesome. Same with AKL. Very nice. Speaking of WL (and now off topic), I recently saw posts on another site that the Whispering Canyon has deteriorated in quality… thoughts? I know you’ve had positive reviews of it. Are there some meals there that are better than the others?

It’s been a few years since we have eaten a full meal there…Maybe three years. The last time we were at Whispering Canyon was for the bottomless milkshakes. We made that our meal. There would be no way to have a meal AND do the bottomless shakes in one sitting. I wish I had more info to give based on a more recent visit.

If I may jump in @SassyPixie, we just ate there in October. Three of the four adults had the all-you-can-eat skillet. Some of the best barbequed food ever! The ribs just fell apart! Even my wife had some of that and enjoyed, and she is not a rib person. There was not a bad item among it. And we were so full (this was at lunch mind you) that we couldn’t even snack in the evening! Incredible deal for the money at $23/person. We plan to eat there again when we go as a family.

No one hardly goes in there (there are restrooms back there also) and as a bonus
there are some plugs to charge devices if you need.

I know that place where they have the Epcot timeline & the exhibit they had for Epcot’s 25th Anniversary.
I bring my book sometimes if it’s crowded but i can still hear the music from the Innoventions Plaza loop.

Not to pile on the off topic train, but we love to go to Whispering Canyon for breakfast, I’ve never been for any other meal. The banana bread french toast is so yummy!

I agree with the Morocco suggestion (love the Fez House) and Tom Sawyer’s Island has those rocking chairs in an area that I think is called Aunt Polly’s dockside in. It faces Liberty Square and you can see the Haunted Mansion and I love it!

Canada was another good suggestion, very quiet around there when we last visited. DHS is difficult now, I would have suggested the Writer’s Stop because not many people knew about it and there was always somewhere to sit in there, but that’s gone now :'(

Starbee’s right, the rocking chairs on Tom Sawyers Island is an awesome place for “quite time”. We have done this a few times.

Great tips all around. I agree 100% on Columbia Harbor House 2nd floor and the Morocco pavilion. both virtually deserted in the middle of the day. and definitely at night. I’d add the gardens at the back of the UK pavilion.
