It sucks that the first part of the 10k course was so boring :( I know what it’s like to take a while to warm up! When I rain my first 10k in 42* and rain the entire time, I don’t think I warmed up until after mile 3! :surprised: How long did you have to stand around before the race started? You definitely don’t seem like you let the cold get to you! :)

The 10k’s have a boring start for sure! But once we entered Epcot, the rest was fun!! I had a positive outlook with the cold because I knew I would finally get to meet Scott for the first time at the finish line! But my body was really shutting down on me. That was my toughest morning dealing with my auto immune condition. I couldn’t stop shivering. I actually shivered and moved so much that my watch showed I did an extra mile over Ryan’s watch before the race and we were together the entire time! The amount of time you wait depends on what time you get dropped off! If you get dropped off at 4am, the race starts at 5:30 so that’s a guaranteed 1.5 hours. But that’s from when corral A starts! So it could be another 10-25 minutes until your corral starts. So it could be upwards of 2 hours in the elements before starting the race! That’s the hard part.

Remind me please what time you’re advised to get there? Is there a time where if you don’t arrive by then you’re not racing?

I believe You need to be on a bus no later than 4am for the 5k & 10k. On a bus No later than 3:30am for the half and full marathon. You need to be in your corral by the time the race starts. They close off corrals in order. So A released first, then B, then C, etc. They close off a corral before it starts moving forward to get to the start line. You can fall back in corrals if you really miss entering yours on time. The half and full marathons have a mile long walk to the corrals from the staging area. So that’s why you need to keep that in mind on timing. Full marathon morning we were running late and the race started while we were on that mile walk. Teri and Ryan barely made it into their corral before it was closed off. I made it to mine okay since I was 2 corrals behind them.
They do a digital event guide with all times and info that gets released a couple of weeks before the event.
Here is the link to the event guide for Princess this weekend. They use the same URL for all race guides. So it changes to the next race after a race is done.

    Landing Home – Before Race

It has all times and such listed!
