Tuesday January 17th:
6:20am alarm. Packed up and showered. We went down to eat breakfast, it was very quiet! We went back to our room to pack our final things. We checked out of our room and left our luggage with the front desk. Parks opened at 10am and we were in California Adventure by 9:50am. We went straight to Radiator Springs Racers with a 15 minute wait. This was the only time we got to ride together on Racers for this trip! That was our only agenda at California Adventure for today. So we popped over to Disneyland. I realized we hadn’t met Pooh and friends yet! So we went to their meet and greet and met Tigger, Eeyore and Pooh!!!! Such a fun interaction and no line yet! Pooh wanted to come home with me to meet our dog named Winnie! We then went to Thunder with a 5 minute wait. The app said that Space was a short wait time. So we walked over there and could see the line and noticed the sign jumped up to 65 minutes. I guess everyone else saw it had been posted short and the line grew fast! We decided not to get in line because we were getting short on time. So we walked through shops and said goodbye to our baby castle. We grabbed tea in Starbucks in Downtown Disney (FYI, you can redeem your free drinks at the Downtown Disneyland location, but not in the parks). We then ate at Earl of Sandwich for lunch around noon. We walked to our hotel, got our luggage and waited for our Super Shuttle pickup. We were there about 30 minutes before our scheduled pickup time and he ended up being 10 minutes early, so we only waited about 20 minutes. We arrived at the airport about 2 hours early for our 3:40pm flight. We walked around the airport for a bit and then charged our phones. Our flight was on time and smooth (no poopy pants passengers!!!) and had a layover in Phoenix. Our layover was around 2 hours long. So we grabbed dinner at Modern Burger. Our flight showed it was going to be delayed by 10 minutes, but we left right on time at 8:05pm. We landed just after 9pm and waited about 20 minutes for our luggage. We forgot about the freeway closure due to construction, so we were stuck at a standstill for a while. So our hour drive home was really over an hour and twenty minutes. We got home to the pup just before 11pm and unpacked our bags. Lights out at midnight.
Miles Logged 8.3Overview:
This was a fun trip. Since we had just been at Disneyland two months before, we just took our time and enjoyed being there. The crowds were insanely heavy on Friday-Sunday. We’ve done this race weekend before and it was never this busy. It was just wall to wall people. But surprisingly, on Monday (Martin Luther King Jr Day and a holiday for most schools) the crowds really dropped a lot! And on Tuesday, it was so empty! It was surprisingly chilly for our entire trip too! Highs in the 60’s! So we had long sleeves on every day.March 29, 2017 at 10:31 am #20067Tuesday January 17th:

March 30, 2017 at 7:34 am #2018910:00 open, it still slays me how late they open sometimes out there. By 10:00 at WDW we’ve done an entire land or more!
I do love how easy it is to hop parks there though. One ride and you can just walk right across to the next park.
Good final day, and so thankful for no poopy pants passengers! Haha! Thanks for taking us along, I really appreciate it.March 30, 2017 at 10:11 am #20246That happens a lot with opening times at DL on weekdays during non-peak season! It’s crazy! However, it’s nice when you need a little extra sleep, or to pack!
But the stinky part is that sometimes the parks can be very busy from the get go. We love the easiness of park hopping at DL for sure!!! It was a good final day and happy dance for no Mr. Poopy Pants!!!!
Happy to share our adventure!!!
March 30, 2017 at 10:13 am #20248Even as a somewhat local guest, I haaaaate the late 10am openings. Sure it’s nice for the BF who likes to sleep in, but not me who’s an early riser!
March 30, 2017 at 10:17 am #20251@bexruns , early risers here too. I’m like, ok I’m up. Now what do I do?
March 30, 2017 at 11:09 am #20263I really just appreciate it on our departure day! It never fails, we are slow moving by then and have packing to do! But otherwise, I don’t like the late opening either! It actually shocks me when I see that opening time!
March 31, 2017 at 2:42 pm #20496Thanks for the trip reports! Sounds like a great trip overall.
March 31, 2017 at 3:12 pm #20506Thank goodness for no poopy pants on the way home! Thanks for sharing your trip!

March 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm #20517I do a poopy pants emoji on my phone! I take the pile of poop and then the pants!
People were honestly trying not to vomit from the smell!!! I don’t think anyone wanted to open their mouth to speak, kid you not! Everyone was covering their nose/mouth!
