After seeing @Abeach’s recent cat picture post it sparked an idea in my head. Why not create a thread where we can share our Disney inspired names and pets. Pretty simple. Just tell us a bit about the name and why you chose it and such. Also feel free to post a pic of the 4 legged creatures! I’ll start it off. So this is our beagle Copper. Yes she’s named after the fox and the hound. I also really wanted to name our first born child Miley but wife would not go for it. So we compromised on Kylie instead.

She is precious! I’m partial to beagles, we have one too ;) I can’t share a picture right now, but our little beagle is named Trixie, after the Country Bear :smirk: I chose it because I love that attraction and also the name

Growing up I had two dogs, a German Shepherd/Husky mix named Max (Little Mermaid), and a Golden Retriever who I named Lady (Lady and the Tramp). My current dog, a black lab named Maverick was almost named Dodger (Oliver & Company).

I know a family who have a dog named Copper, and another family that used to have a dog named Jedi (both were Yellow Labs).

Jedi is a great name! I also liked Padme for my beagle (husband didn’t)

They are the best! I’m not sure I would get any other breed :p my beagle is a rescue pup and she suffered abuse with her previous owners. Because of that she will only snuggle on her own terms! She’s pretty cuddly in the mornings, but the rest of the day she’ll run away. If ever she’s scared however (thunder, loud right, lightning, fireworks) she will be on top of you wanting snuggles!

We had a cat named Jazz. My daughter named it after the music from Aristocats, her favorite movie at that time

Neither of my beagles have Disney inspired names (their names are Sasha and Lucy), just wanted to share my love of beagles

I do love beagles, and if we ever get to a point where we want to welcome a dog into our home (again), then we would strongly consider a beagle. For now we have three cats: Pumpkin Marie, Mildred Joyce (Millie), and James P. Sullivan (Sully). Sully is the only one that we consciously named after a Disney character.

Our sweet rescue pup is Winnie, after Winnie the Pooh! We knew we wanted a Disney name for her and just loved Winnie for her! She’s an Aussie/Border Collie/mystery brindled pup! She loves us and loves to snuggle with us. She had been abused, so trust took a little time. She still doesn’t trust other people, besides our dog sitters, but that’s okay. She’s 9 years old now and we rescued her when she was 1.5 years old.

@eeyorepoohfan Winnie is perfect! Look at that adorable little face! Sounds like our pups come from similar situations – and they’re the same age! Mine is afraid of other dogs but loves people. She was clearly abused by another animal (I assume a dog) as well as people. So glad yours loves to snuggle now!
