The Poly hands down!!! Best view of the castle, the Hawaiian music throughout the resort and Ohana’s on property

Absolutely the Poly, there’s nothing better than going to Kona Cafe for breakfast, and getting a pot of the Kona coffee. Strolling the grounds is so relaxing. And that lobby smell

Poly! It’s probably because my first memory of Disney is staying at the Poly with my family – I think I was 10 or 11.

Funny (maybe only to me) story: This was also the trip where I spent the first half in a wheelchair because I got bit by a spider and my leg swelled up. Our first night at Disney we called the front desk to ask for help and they sent an ambulance with sirens screaming! (I guess you hear “kid” and “possible allergic reaction” and you don’t want to deal with that potential liability.) I thought this wheelchair business totally sucked…until we approached the first ride and they escorted our entire party to the front of the line. :)

Daily Disney Question No. 23 – Polynesian! :dole: I’ve never stayed there but I hope to one day (easier with DVC). I love the theme and the music – it’s so beautiful! We love spending time there for the restaurants, shopping and Trader Sam’s :mint:

23- Contemporary. Only because that’s the only one I’ve stayed at, and that was 25 years ago! I really hope to stay at the others some day!

D-COT Daily Disney Question #24 :minniebow:

Do you think that Cinderella’s Royal Table is overrated? Or do you think that its a Disney Must Do? :cinderella:

Personally I think it’s overrated. I have only eaten there 1x, and it was ‘fine’. It wasn’t spectacular, and I felt a bit rushed through dinner….. :(

Never done it so can’t really answer. We’ve done the one at the Grand Floridian and Akerhaus.

24 – for me, not a “must do” but not overrated either. When we take our kids, we do whatever princess meal (CRT or Akershus) fits better with our schedule. But I’ll also say that CRT was one of things my parents insisted we do every trip as a kid, so there’s probably some nostalgia there for me! I love being “in the castle”.

I ate there for breakfast with the princesses years ago when my niece was a child. I remember that I enjoyed it and didn’t have any complaints. It was great eating in the castle and the princesses were very attentive. That being said, I really don’t think I would have to do it again. It’s kind of a one-time thing that I’m glad I did. I’ve done sooooo many character meals over the years that they are something I really don’t have to do anymore.

24 – Never ate at Cindy’s Table. Just one of those things we haven’t made a point to do. Also, partly because, I have heard it is overrated.

It was a one and done for me. I am so glad that we did it, it was a magical experience to have on her first Disney trip, but it’s hard to justify that cost. There are other character meals that I prefer to do, and with the Bon Voyage at the Boardwalk having better food and great character interaction, I’d choose that for my princess fix

24 – Neither. I don’t think it’s overrated at all to eat in the Castle. Nor do I think the price or experience warrants a must do each trip. We’ve eaten there once and it was very special and magical but it’s not something we’d do again and again. Truly a special experience for a special time.
