I sure will! At least you know when you’ll know!
January 2, 2019 at 8:25 pm #98809Hey y’all! Unfortunately I won’t be making it to the D-COT meet in in October… we are going to WDW in September for our normal week. We have been to WDW 6x during Labor Day Week…. the crowds are SUPER LOW and we love it so much!
I’m sad I won’t see everyone, but if you’re in WDW Labor Day week…. let’s meet up!

January 22, 2019 at 7:30 am #100825@dngnb8 Any update on the new job?!
1st interview was 3 hours. In the interview, he discovered I had a breadth of experience that he wasnt aware of. He told me he wanted to talk further, but had to regroup to think more about what he wished of me with this new info.
I had a 1 hour phone interview (we lost connection, he was on the road to CA). Based on that interview, I believe he asked his staff what the burning issues were. He then asked if I could help with them. Of the 7 issues they currently have, I have experience in resolving all of them.
He wants both a phone interview to discuss job responsibilities and another in person to meet executives of the staff. No offer yet, but I believe he wants me.
The issue is that he is creating a job that does not exist. This is a public entity, and creating a new budget line is not easy to do. It would be much simpler if the job was just a vacant slot.
The interviews “feel” good. I believe I am responding to the issues in an receptive way. Next in person interview is scheduled Feb 6th. I just hope I dont die of stress before then.
Thank you for asking, that was very kind of you.
January 22, 2019 at 8:30 am #100838@dngnb8 good luck!! it sounds really good to me!! think of it this way, if he didn’t want you, he wouldn’t keep interviewing you!
January 22, 2019 at 8:31 am #100839oh i won’t be able to make the meet up, i have school. it sounds like fun though!! maybe next time i can come
March 15, 2019 at 9:08 am #105015I just want to follow up with this and be completely transparent. I think in order to do a true Disney catered event for D-CoT we would need about 40 guests and we would need to charge about $50 a person (maybe a “couple discount” for supporters). We have been in contact with Disney about doing an event, and their minimum requirements are high, especially on a weekend. So, this is why the “on the fence” people can’t be counted into a total. We would LOVE to make it work, but there needs to enough people who WANT to do it, too.
March 15, 2019 at 9:19 am #105017If we can’t have a Disney catered event due to attendance, can we still have a more laid back meet like last year? I think there will be a bunch of D-Cotters at the World again this October
March 18, 2019 at 6:39 am #105130While I would love to meet everyone, I just can’t fathom going when it’s hot. I can’t handle heat in any shape or form. Now if you were talking November thru early March, I’m in! We plan on going down for a weekend to check out the new Harry Potter ride and may add an Epcot day.

I added another poll to the first post in this thread. Please fill it out so I can get a better count. Thanks!
March 27, 2019 at 12:24 pm #106130This would be my first D-Cot event. Is the cost of the event in addition to theme park admission, or does it include theme park admission during/after the event?
