Can't post in the Disney Alphabet Game Thread

When I try to post a reply in the Disney Alphabet Game thread I get taken back to the first post and my reply isn’t posted. If I try to post a second time, I get the message “ERROR: Looks like you’ve already said that! Duplicate post deleted” but my original post still isn’t there. I’ve refreshed the page and even closed out, posted elsewhere (successfully) and gone back to post to this thread again, but it still happens. I’m only having issues with this one thread

Hey Steve, weird thing happened to me. I tried to type “can you buy it?” in the “What in the World” forum and it wouldn’t let me post it because it was a duplicate – I’d already said it. I probably did in an earlier game, several pages back…but thought you would like to know it was blocking me from writing the exact same thing. No big deal as i can slightly adjust the question, just thought you’d like to know.

Ah, I wonder if that was on purpose then! To eliminate or cut down on the spammers!

How soon were you trying to post? There is a mechanism in place that will throttle your posting so that you cannot post one after another in a set amount of time. I think it’s 10 seconds. However, it sounds like what the forum software is doing is protecting itself from spam. This is a good thing. I will look into this more.

Thanks Steve, I completely understand trying to prevent spam. Interesting that it knows you’ve said the exact same thing earlier on in the thread. What I was trying to post in the Disney Alphabet Game was completely different every time and it still wouldn’t work. I logged out, logged back in and only tried to post to that one thread and it still wouldn’t work.

Yeah, I can’t post in the Alphabet game either. Every other thread is fine, just not that one.

No, it takes me back to the first page of the thread and 9/10 my post doesn’t hold.

I experienced this today.

I posted. It returned me to page one and didnt update with my post

Did it again, same result

Someone else posted. I posted and it updated with the last post.

I use Firefox and have jukebox running in another tab.
