Not just the parks either. He is creating a transaction for every part of Disney. Yes the company made a bunch, but overall earnings are down and the stock is as well. To make up for the earnings drop, he is tagging everyone for everything. I swear he is going to put in pay toilets next.

This is why Disney should never place a bean counter in charge. They lack the cognitive appreciation creative talent has. I for one am not going to Disney until he is gone. No parks. I pay my Plus as an annual so I dont have to worry about that until January.

As of this moment, Boycotting is on. It breaks my heart but I feel like Chapek is literally bleeding everyone to save his ass.

There are many of us who feel the same way. And our only vote that they might possibly understand is with our wallets. It hurts to see what’s happening. :(

Agreed, but the board and shareholders love him so until that changes he will remain CEO.

It reminds me of the dark time when Eisner was CEO, he ran the brand into the ground then Iger came along and led a renaissance. Hopefully the same thing will start to happen in a few years.

In the meantime, it seems like Universal is poised to capitalize on Disney’s diminishing guest experience, so that could also drive more rapid change.

Agreed. Like I have said before, we are going in October to celebrate my 50th anniversary of my first trip, but after that I’m fairly well done with WDW, at least for now, never say never. Now, that said we are staying at Fort Wilderness but renting a camper & golf cart from off site to cut a little into what Diseny get from us. We will also be doing things like preparing our own breakfasts and not using Genie+, Lightning Lane possibly, but sparingly.

For what it is worth, I am a stock holder also, and am not happy with Bob’s performance on that front. Two major issues for me, one he seems to jump from one “hot” thing to another, ex. when he came in it was all Disney+ or nothing, now that the parks have started making money again they are throwing something like $2 billion at the parks. Also, I think he is focusing too much on short term return, not long term return. Looks good on paper, but IMHO is not that sustainable, when I buy a stock I want to hold it for 10 years, not 10 minutes. And now he has “activist investors,” hate that moniker, telling him what to do, eh. FWIW, I thought Bob Iger was fairly even handed across all the divisions and had a long term goal, guess that was part of coming from the creative side.

Ahhh, the love-hate tolerate relationships we have with Disney. :minnie: :donald: Anyhow, the one thing we have is our memories of how it was and the good times we had there, that’s what this trip is all about for me, a waltz down Nostalgia Lane. :)

Hay, was that a Swan Boat?!?!?!?
