RUMOR: Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure to be Replaced?

Agent P's Adventure

Epcot’s World Showcase has so much to offer. From unique dining experiences, a few rides and countless shows, to all the festivals taking place year-round. One of these experiences is the Agent P’s World Showcase Adventures. Using their own phones, guests join Agent P from Disney Channel’s Phineas and Ferb and help him foil the plans of Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz around the world. The phone helps guests trigger specific actions that stop Doof, including activating water falls and water blasts, triggering animatronic sequences such as a parrot or a singing beer steins, and more.

Kim Possible

The original game actually involved another Disney Channel star, Kim Possible. Much like the current game, guests would grab a phone from one of the designated stands and stop villains from taking over the world. Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure wouldn’t debut until two years after the final episode aired, but re-runs still showed on Disney Channel for a while. Phineas and Ferb took over in 2012, five years after Kim Possible ended. For those unaware, Phineas and Ferb did air its final episode in 2015, but re-runs still show often. It’s been several years since Phineas and Ferb ended, nearly coming up on five. Maybe it’s time for a new show to fill its shoes.

DuckTales

A recent show on Disney Channel is a reboot of the popular Disney Afternoon Show, DuckTales. The show has positive reviews and was renewed for a third season. The show has big names attached to it, such as David Tennant as Scrooge McDuck, Lin-Manuel Miranda as Gizmoduck, and even Jim Cummings reprising his role as Darkwing Duck. Season 3 will even feature more characters from Disney Afternoon, including the Rescue Rangers, Goof Troop, and Talespin. DuckTales follows Scrooge and his nephews as they go on adventures and fight evil. Just like Kim Possible and Phineas and Ferb, fighting evil and going on adventures is a common theme. The rumor here is that DuckTales will take over Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure. With Phineas and Ferb fading out and DuckTales growing in popularity, it’s not unlikely.

Epcot is going through a lot of changes right now, so this may not happen for a while, but it wouldn’t hurt to help foil the plans of Doof on your next trip. You wouldn’t want pandas to become one color now, would you? And make sure not to shoot the messenger!
