I’m looking for opinions on the new Planet Hollywood at Disney Springs. We want to try it in December.

I would advise against dining here. I’ve been two times, had a positive experience and then a negative experience (negative being the most recent). The food isn’t amazing but it isn’t terrible. I also find it to be too loud. There are much better options to choose from at Disney Springs.

But if you’d like to experience it yourself, go ahead.

Not that I’ve eaten at THIS location, but I have eaten at Planet Hollywood. IMO its definitely a touristy place. If you’ve ever eaten at a Hard Rock Cafe, it’s essentially the same thing just the movie version instead of music. Food is meh but not terrible. Probably a once and never again thing.

CANCEL CANCEL CANCEL. The food was nothing special. It is the atmosphere that is so awful…loud with annoying/obnoxious videos constantly on a giant wall. Gone are the days where they played scenes from classic/iconic movies…now it is nothing but a DJ who is so terrible he couldn’t get hired at a 5 year old’s birthday party and ridiculous videos aimed at teenagers with no attention span. I will never eat there again. I repeated apologized to my family during the entire meal for making such an awful choice.

Jamiedawn – thank you for your honest opinion – seriously! I wish more of us could take the bull by the horns and tell what we think. Very helpful. :) Ok, this is not coming out right – I seriously appreciate you!

Ugh. That’s pretty terrible. Like @disneyfan1966 stated, I also appreciate your brutal honesty. I’d rather have someone tell me that than I waste potentially $100 on an awful experience.

AMEN  I think some people want to keep the magic of Disney alive to the point where they turn a blind eye to things that aren’t so great and won’t share a negative experience. It’s sad because sometimes things aren’t perfect there 100% of the time, and that’s okay. Voicing an opinion that something wasn’t what you thought or you didn’t like it, doesn’t make you a hater. I appreciate when people have given me honest opinions because that helps me make choices that keep my vacation magical :tink:

I’ve never eaten there, and based on Jamie’s review I don’t think I will be.

Jamie’s description is actually perfect for this restaurant

I have never dined the Disney location, but have dined art one in Myrtle Beach…

I will pretty much echo all the other opinions. It is okay as chain restaurants go, but not much different from a Hard Rock, TGI Fridays, or Ruby Tuesdays quality wise. There are better options at WDW and I encourage you to search out one of those.

Don’t forget that there are many hidden dining gems at WDW resorts!

I agree with Jamie and pretty much everyone else here… the food is mediocre at best… similar to an Applebees type chain restaurant. I ate at the NYC one, and also the Disney Springs one before it was renovated. The other food options in Disney Springs are SO MUCH BETTER than Planet Hollywood. If you are looking for an amazing meal at Disney Springs, I highly recommend: Morimoto Asia orThe Boathouse. Both are AMAZING!

@Acamm Morimoto all the way! Beautiful place with great food. The Vietnamese coffee was AMAZING. I would go back there any day. Plus they have discounts at lunch.

@jamiedawn27 I didn’t know about the lunch discounts… thanks for the tip! My tip to you is that their Sake Sangria is AWESOME! Cheers pal! :mint:

    Sake Sangria (serves 3-4 people)
asian pears, apple plum, tangerine juice, sake, light white wine, plum wine
