That’s a good plan for the parks and just doing hotel stuff. It’s not a good idea to try and run everywhere because it’s just impossible to complete it all considering all the new procedures as well as a recent uptick in wait times.
October 1, 2020 at 10:11 am #141373Okay guys, now I’m second guessing my park reservations. Do we do HS instead of AK? We haven’t been there since Pandora or SW land. Which one should we hit this time?

85glht22 XPWow!! Tough decision! AK has Flight of Passage but HS has Star Wars land, including Rise of the Resistance…. both are awesome rides… I’d do both
October 1, 2020 at 4:44 pm #141379@85glht unfortunately we can’t do both. Which one is cooler for two young boys? They aren’t Star Wars fanatics (dad is though…) and have never seen the movie Pandora. So which one is just cooler. I imagine we should do HS to try to get into SW land right now, since it will probably be inaccessible for the coming future, right?
October 1, 2020 at 4:48 pm #141380I honestly would pick DAK. About half of DHS is live shows, the majority of which aren’t running. As a result, wait times are bloated for the few rides there. You could say the same for DAK, but that park is also full of all the animal walking trails. Another note, if you want to ride Star Wars – Rise of the Resistance, you have to be at the park right at opening with your smart phone out. Boarding passes go out fast. Luckily, all rides in DAK you can simply just hop in line and ride, including the new Avatar ones.
Unless your family has a strong interest in Star Wars or Toy Story, I would head to DAK. Pandora really doesn’t require much knowledge of the movie to enjoy. The land doesn’t even feature any characters that were in the film. But if you have die-hard Star Wars fans in your midst…maybe go to DHS.
October 1, 2020 at 4:53 pm #141381Are the queue passes to ROR still just like trying to catch a fart? Like, impossible even with the number of folks there?
October 1, 2020 at 4:59 pm #141382I’ve seen reports that they are, however I have not experienced it and can’t confirm. I do know that as a result of the pandemic, they are providing two chances to get boarding passes: One at opening (10AM) and another at 2PM. While your chances are now increased, this still doesn’t guarantee riding the ride.
October 1, 2020 at 5:02 pm #141383And you can’t even enter the Star Wars land without the pass? Sorry for all the questions! I just want to make the right choice!
October 1, 2020 at 5:05 pm #141384No worries!!!! You can enter the land without a pass. This includes access to all the shops, restaurants, and the Millenium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run attraction. Reservations can be made for Oga’s Cantina and Sa’vi’s Workshop. The boarding pass is only for the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance ride. You do not need a boarding pass to get into the land and enjoy it.
October 1, 2020 at 5:16 pm #141385ooooh!! I Thought you couldn’t even get into the land without the boarding pass. So you could totally see the land without riding the ride if need be.
Okay, now I have another question.
Would you personally, immerse in SW Land if you couldn’t ride the ride, or would you go to AK and see Pandora and possibly ride that ride? I assume that ride is not nearly as impossible to get on.
I’m so torn!!!
October 1, 2020 at 5:22 pm #141386Personally? I’d pick Pandora. Pandora has two rides, both of which fairly easy to get on. Plus Pandora has lots of unique “wildlife” to look at, as well as the impressive sight that is the floating mountains. SWGE is cool for Star Wars fans, but I personally think so much of the land is trying to sell you something. A good portion of it is a marketplace and several specialty shopes. SWGE does have a lot of cool animatronics and the ride that doesn’t require a boarding pass is pretty good. The ride does require a lot of quick movements though as it puts you in the role of flying a spaceship on a mission behind enemy lines. And I’m not sure if they’re still doing this because of the pandemic, but SWGE did have Star Wars characters roaming which was pretty cool. I personally enjoy Pandora more just because the rides are all just enjoying the world of Avatar, there’s no thinking required. You can just take it all in and relax, which is what vacations are supposed to be.
But that’s just me personally.
October 1, 2020 at 5:34 pm #141387Thank you! I think I will just stick with AK then. That was my gut instinct and then I panicked thinking maybe I chose poorly.

missingWDW183 XPHubby and I were thinking about going in November for a few days without the kids. We’ve been there so many times, so missing out on some of the experiences doesn’t feel like a great loss. We feel like we can still experience the magic of Disney albeit limited.
Buuuut, we would have to quarantine for two weeks when we return, and as of right now I’m back in the school building teaching, so that’s not going to work. I really can’t afford to lose two weeks of pay
So unless my school situation changes, our trip isn’t looking too promising
Oh well
October 2, 2020 at 9:54 am #141395Dargh!!! Darn quarantine!!! I mean, I understand the reasoning, but it really ruins everything trip-wise. Very sorry to hear that

missingWDW183 XPYeah, it stinks for sure
But listen, if our building gets shut down and I’m virtual, I can always book a last minute trip!
