Ok gang, I was supposed to be taking my niece with my best friend to Disney World in October but it seems she’s hit that weird almost 4 years old mark and she’s got separation anxiety and she shows her butt everywhere we go lol so we canceled what was to be a VERY expensive 4 day trip because we included the dining plan and a moderate hotel this time to make traveling with a 4 year old easier. It was over $1300 each not including travel expenses and anything we bought off of the dining plan etc. Let’s face it, Disney is starting to become a rich mans paradise. So instead of my bestie and me just going by ourselves, I thought, “let me check the prices on Disneyland instead” well wouldn’t you know it was cheaper to go to California for 8 days than to Florida for 4? So I thought, “let me just check something for fun…” I got back on hotwire and I kid you not, for about a thousand dollars we could go to PARIS for 10 days! Flight and 4 star hotels were available everywhere! London….same prices! Sooooo…..my bestie ordered her passport and God willing, in about 2 weeks when it comes in, this girl will be booking her first trip out of the country and we are heading to Disneyland Paris!!!! I’m so excited! If you ever wanted to travel, for some reason flight and hotel packages are going cheap right now. It doesn’t hurt to look! eeeehehehe!! I’ll keep you posted! I keep worrying that my friend will get denied her passport or something. lol

Like @10dedfish said, I just went to France about a month ago and we spent one day in Disneyland Paris, so if I can help in any way, feel free to ask any questions you have! I couldn’t believe how cheap the park tickets were there! I think we got a 1-day park hopper ticket for around $80 a piece!

July 18, 2018 at 10:41 am #83032Wow! I’d love to go to DLP one day! I’ve actually heard that almost all of the non US Disney parks are soooo much cheaper than WDW and DL.
July 19, 2018 at 8:23 am #83102Thanks everyone! I keep getting nervous that something will go wrong before my friend gets her passport lol. It all seems to be too good to be true. Now you know why I added all of those songs from the France pavilion

August 10, 2018 at 9:35 am #85229Alright, here’s my update. Last week my best friend came to town and we set our plans in stone. First we went to a travel agent just to see if they had any better deals than hotwire and orbitz….they did not. In fact I left there feeling like I had just uncovered that sites like those are the bane of existence to a travel agent. Not only did she not have a better deal, she tried to make me feel stupid for considering using one of those sites to book my trip. She seemed annoyed that I had done my research. She gave me a price from the Delta website for a flight alone for over a thousand dollars and when I told her that was the price for both flight and hotel on Hotwire she got annoyed and said, “Yeah but WHERE is the hotel?” I told her that there were several all over Paris at that price in all different parts and not outside the city either. I had explained to her that I had never used a travel agent and didn’t know if I even needed to, but if she could find the same deals I would just book through AAA. Well to make a long story short, we left with her making us feel like imbeciles and we decided that Orbitz was the way to go. I realize now that she gets no kickback from using those sites so she wouldn’t make any money booking it for us. Her trip was double!!! Anyhoo…back home we went and I got on Orbitz and booked a roundtrip flight from Columbia SC to Paris for 9 days, with a hotel room in the 11th Arrondissment for just over $900 per person!!! We also booked a train ticket and a night in London! We haven’t gotten our Disneyland tickets yet and figure we’ll decide which day to go when we get there. Soooo….It’s Paris in November for meeeee!!!!! It sounds too good to be true but I checked the Delta website and there we were. The room says it costs $700 on it’s own so it’s like they are giving the flights away for free! If you ever thought about going, I suggest you look now and book a package deal.

August 10, 2018 at 10:17 am #85262AnonymousInactiveXPVERY nice homework and decision making. Please, if you can, ignore the travel agent garbage. I get that the new world cuts them out of a lot of things, but that’s not your fault or for you to feel bad about. Sounds like an amazing trip!

Good luck. The trials and tribulations of this trip are unbelievable including originally going for 4 days to FL and instead 10 to Paris for the same price. Hopefully, you have completely forgotten about that travel agent. Have a great time and we can’t wait to hear how it all goes!
