TLDR: Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom is being discontinued due to a “decrease in guest demand” and “mobile technology.”

Truly a shame since it’s such a unique interactive experience. It’ll be interesting to see if Disney does anything to the portal elements or if they’ll just leave it all up like they did for Agent P in Epcot.

Plus I’m only missing 4 of the cards from the main (free) set so I’m sad about that too :P LOL

Boo to this! I never played but it used to be fun watching others do it as you strolled by :(

they rely too much on the app and mobile technology now. they really need a Wi-Fi boost in the parks if they are pushing all of this to the phone, I for one wish they did less with the phone, LOOK UP and play is so much better for kids these days.

sorry you are missing just 4 :(

AGREED! There used to be a time when I didn’t even take my phone to the park! My chiropractor said he’s starting to see on x-rays “horns” on children’s necks from how their spine is developing incorrectly due to how much their head is down looking at a screen. So sad.

@warrsm Agreed. My phone can’t hold battery like it used to :goofy: Plus their internet is so bad, if they’re gonna push for more use of it than it needs an upgrade. I think though, overall, they’ve discovered people are going to be on their phone anyway so they might as well use Disney apps. I hope one day we can break these cell phone addictions, especially in the parks.

me too @sej101 ! I find myself too attached to it. I don’t want to have to use it in the park unless its to take pictures, but I am old and old school ;)

@starbee I heard that too, how horrible is that?? I used to worry about slouching and getting a hump but these kids are going to have neck’s with really bad curves

This reminds me of the MMO they used to have. Games that take place in the parks will never get the attention necessary to support the product. People dont go to the parks to play a TCG.

Sounds like Bone Spurs (Spondylosis). It is an early form of Arthritis. I have a severe form of this. I have some spurs that are 2 inches long on my spine.

I bet that’s it. If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em.

I tell you what, if someone has every card released, they have one heck of a collectors item!
