Not a big deal at all, but I thought I’d report it. I can’t seem to get my favorites playlist to shuffle. Clicking on the shuffle button seems to have no effect.
I’m using Chrome on a Windows 10 desktop.
January 18, 2017 at 1:20 pm #7877Correction: there is one side effect. If I’m already playing a song, playback stops and the playhead rewinds to the beginning of the song.
January 18, 2017 at 1:23 pm #7878The shuffle is working for me (I think that was your correction post). Yes, whenever I make a call to change the playlist the song stops playing and when I shuffle the playlist I’m technically loading a new playlist.
January 19, 2017 at 11:14 am #8195Yes, but mine never randomizes the list order, whether playing currently or not. It just stops playback. My correction was just to give extra info.
January 19, 2017 at 11:30 am #8202Oh dear. What browser are you on?
January 19, 2017 at 11:55 am #8211My shuffle doesn’t work either on Mozilla, I thought it was because I wasn’t currently a supporter. It only stops the tune I am listening to and nothing happens to my favorites list.
January 19, 2017 at 12:10 pm #8223[EDIT] I just tried it again in Firefox and Chrome and it’s working. I don’t get it.
Confirmed. When a song is playing the shuffle does not work; however, if a song is not playing it works. I will look into this.
January 19, 2017 at 5:45 pm #8366Thanks for looking into this. Just to be clear, it never shuffles for me whether a song is playing or not. I added that correction info just to indicate one minor thing which does happen.
Also, it’s not a big deal to me that it doesn’t work, especially since you’re so kind as to provide d-cot for us without fee! I just thought others might have the same issue.
January 19, 2017 at 5:51 pm #8367You’re welcome! I wonder if it’s a cache issue. Can you clear the cache?
January 19, 2017 at 5:53 pm #8368I’ll try that, but in the meantime, here’s the JavaScript console error that I see:
Mixed Content: The page at ‘https://www.d-cot.com/jukebox/’ was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure video ‘http://music.d-cot.com/02%20Magic%20Everywhere%20%28Instrumental%29.mp3’. This content should also be served over HTTPS.
So it must have something to do with my playlist selections. You might try adding “Disneyland Paris – Parades & Shows – Disney Magic on Parade ~ Magic Everywhere Instrumental” to a playlist of yours to see if you get the same error.
January 19, 2017 at 5:57 pm #8370Thank you for providing the message. That would not affect the shuffle. I get that same error and it’s b/c the music is hosted on servers that do not have an SSL certificate.
January 19, 2017 at 6:01 pm #8372Clearing the cache had no effect. My guess is that the mixed content caused JS execution to stop.
January 19, 2017 at 6:03 pm #8373oh, interesting. not sure what it could be then. I’m using Chrome Version 55.0.2883.87 m (up to date as of this writing). OS: Windows 10 Home.
January 19, 2017 at 6:09 pm #8374I doesn’t seem to be working for me with Firefox either. Not sure what’s up with that. It could be user error on my part, but I can’t imagine what I’m supposed to do besides click the button! I should see the list randomize its order, no?
January 19, 2017 at 6:10 pm #8375I’ll look into this more…
