One of my co-workers came in the day after they saw it and said “why are there no jedi in this one?”
Well, if you saw Episode 3, you know exactly why there are no jedi!

I’m sure this will be unpopular but I watched Rogue One over the last two nights, the second night rather painfully.
I thought it was poorly written, tangential, and poorly acted.
I could not connect emotionally with any of the actors/characters and the lack of character development (assuming there was some) was noticeable.
Far too many laser battles and the costume designs were silly. Darth’s costume reminded me of the Dark helmet character played by Rick Moranis in Space balls.
Now I loved the original series and enjoyed the prequel series.
Maybe this is why George Lucas had little to do with the production.
May the force come back to the films!

While I did enjoy Rogue One, I agree with you somewhat and I will say it is probably my least favorite Star Wars film (excluding Episodes I-III). I agree character development wasn’t really there, almost everyone was new to the film, and with only a couple hours of screen time there wasn’t really room for character development. I didn’t really root for any character in particular, or have feelings for them one way or another, I just rooted for the Resistance as a whole. I also felt like some of the cast members were chosen for political reasons, in fact one actor initially refused his role for that reason.
But for the most part I liked it, not sure I’d say love it. The Star Wars Rebels TV show tie-ins were lost on me, making some of the story confusing, but I guess that was awesome for those who do watch Rebels. I thought this was perhaps a more realistic film and I liked the explanation of the Achilles heel of the Death Star. I also thought the CGI cameos were incredible!
@rocketear99 Interesting idea! It depends if you want me to rank in terms of how much I enjoyed them, or how well I thought they were done cinematically
These are the movies in order of my most to least favorite: 4, 5, 6, 7, 2, Rogue One, 1, 3.
