I think this would be a great addition to the Magic Kingdom. New attractions are always welcome but don’t sacrifice the classic favorites in the process.

Yup!
That said definitely open to the idea of a “Fire Mountain” so long as no other attractions get scrapped…after all, it’s not like they don’t have the land for it!

May 3, 2017 at 8:40 am #25359This, coupled with the Tron coaster rumors and the Haunted Mansion restaurant rumors have me very excited for the 50th anniversary.

I know Disney has been losing ground to Universal for the past few years and they need to wake up and smell the lack of new lands and attractions.
I think Universal’s recent success will act as an economic impetus for Disney to grow something other than hotels.May 3, 2017 at 10:46 am #25383One of the folks in the Dis videos on YouTube suggested a National Treasure ride… that would be (likely) silly, but quite fun, too!

I forgot that was a Disney movie. That could be a cool dark ride or 4D simulator attraction.
May 3, 2017 at 1:19 pm #25448I would love to see Disneyland’s Indiana Jones ride come to WDW!
May 3, 2017 at 1:39 pm #25452Apparently another rumor is that this will be a volcano-themed resort along the monorail line. Take this with a huge grain of salt.

That being said, they are still the most visited resort in the world.
On a side note, how about building that mountain in Animal Kingdom as part of the dinosaur attractions?
May 4, 2017 at 4:33 pm #25712I love this idea and think it would fit perfectly in Adventureland! Do you think THIS might be the change to Jungle Cruise? If they add the volcano in the corner of Jungle Cruise, it might replace an existing scene or, at the least, would change the script. Maybe the “retheming of Jungle Cruise” is just incorporating the visibility of this ride into the Cruise and script.

Not me, it’s the same exact track as Dinosaur so it would be a duplicate ride and I’m ready for something new myself.
May 5, 2017 at 9:50 am #25828I for one think the idea is tremendous! I love the idea of magic Kingdom getting a new ride in expansion form, not removal. Except in the rumor of Tron coaster coming. I like the idea , but also love the nostalgia of some visitors getting their first shot at “driving a car” is on the Tomorrowland Speedway. That could be a tough adjustment!
Either way, I am excited about the potential growth!
