    Does anyone in here watch?

What do you think of this news:

“Once Upon a Time” loses lead star as Jennifer Morrison leaves hit ABC TV show

How do you think it will affect the show and it’s ratings?

    #26303

I Do! That is suprising to me, being she is the main character! It’ll be very interesting on what the rating do do. Where did you hear/read that, if you don’t mind me asking?

Inside the Magic posted the story and Jennifer Morrison basically confirmed it on her instagram account.

I don’t watch OUAT, but I’m thinking this may affect the show getting picked up for another season

We’ve been watching this show since it started. I honestly feel like it can end and I would be more than okay with it. I feel like if she leaves, what will happen with the story line? Of course we won’t know what the future even looks like until seeing the season finale next week. But I’ve had this feeling with a lot of shows we’ve been watching for a while that they need to just make a good ending and leave it on a high note! We don’t have kids so it’s not a factor in our house, but I feel they keep pushing a little too far on the language used in the episodes, some of the story lines and the amount of cleavage hanging out! This really started as a family show, but it’s really pushed to be for the older members in a house now.

I agree, as sad as you are sometimes to see a show go, better that they go out on a high when people still love it than drag it out and watch the show go downhill. That’s my dilemma with TWD right now :|

That’s really unfortunate :( I hate when that happens, so few family shows these days. Just because you don’t have kids in the house, doesn’t mean you have to be okay with that!

@starbee, Same with me re: TWD-I stopped watching because I feel like its the same thing over and over…and I’m just over it

In regards to the language and amount of cleavage-agreed. I kind of felt the same with GotGVol2 this weekend. I know it’s PG-13 but some of the stuff they said I was like “WHOA. There’s a ton of smaller kids in this theater….” I think people just think oh this is Marvel which is Disney so it’s ok and safe. Much like OUAT. It’s ABC and Disney so hey, its safe. Doesn’t feel like thats the case anymore.

Did you watch OUAT last night? It was the musical episode and the dropped the B bomb and several smaller words on several occasions. My hubby even looked at me in shock! So at this point, we can probably safely say that we will watch the season finale next week and probably not watch next season. There really are few family shows! I am one that keeps my language clean and my hubby does (for the most part). I just get tired of it infiltrating family shows! That’s what usually draws me to them because they are simpler shows, not so much drama and ugliness going on. Just entertainment. If OUAT was a 9pm show, instead of a 7pm show, I can see them pushing boundaries a bit. But 7pm (at least for our local viewing time) is very early for that language and content. My sister still previews shows and movies (even Disney) before letting my 12 year old niece watch it because you just never know anymore! There are certain topics that you don’t want to have to discuss with a child at that age quite yet!

I was pretty shocked by the language used in the trailer! I haven’t seen GotG Vol. 2 yet but I plan on it. I don’t have kids. I think they’re in this difficult situation of trying to make Marvel movies appealing to the whole family, so that kids enjoy it but adults won’t get bored watching it with their kids, but the use of language is strange because I don’t think that helps in any way. You’re right, ABC and Disney stopped being automatically safe labels a while ago.

My best friend does the same thing for the same reasons. I think that’s why ABC changed the name of ABC Family to ABC Freeform, because they know they can’t really call their content “family” appropriate anymore!

I really liked the first few seasons of OUAT. But last season when we had a Ruby/Dorothy kissing scene I thought “really disney?” it was completely unnecessary and my 11 year old daughter was crushed that they would do that. the language is eh…i don’t like the B word or the A word creeping in here…it is a show based off of Disney and fairytale characters so in my mind it should be kept clean of that nonsense. I’m alright with the cleavage – the costumes crack me up and they aren’t meant to be sexy cuz no one ever looks at the Queen and goes “ooo baby!” :)

i’m not a huge fan of Emma Swan – turn it into the Captain Hook show and i’ll keep watching!

Yeah, when the show The Secret Life of the American Teenager was on, I remember thinking “how is this for family? it’s about a teenage girl who gets pregnant at band camp”

I’m glad that the hit the reset button. The only cast coming back is queen, hook and gold. I think those are the 3 with the biggest following too (besides Emma)
