    Hi steve,

    I’d like to suggest that the “globe” notifications icon work more like the similar icon on that other, lesser social networking site. Specifically: clicking that icon opens a small dialog listing the notifications, and then the notifications are cleared once I view them.

    I think that would be an easier UX than having to browse to the notifications page and manually delete the notifications.

    I really like the change to the notifications. If you have a bigger number when you log in, they are only marked read once you’ve actually viewed them, unless you choose to mark them read yourself. I would find before the change that I might have 10 notifications of comments and likes to my pictures (for example) and once I clicked away from the notifications, say to view just one, they would then all look like they had been read then they hadn’t. I would therefore miss comments and likes from my pals frequently, and not be able to respond. This new setup allows me to ensure that I’ve seen everything :up:

    It looks good, and I like that it still preserves the behaivour that starbee likes.

    One small suggestion: I think it would be nice to have a “Clear all notifications” button at the top or bottom of that pop-up list of notifications.
