I know a lot of folks were upset that the Twilight Zone Tower Of Terror came to an end, in order for a new Marvel ride to take its place. (Hey, you can always go to Walt Disney World to ride it!)
There is to be a ride based on the Guardians Of The Galaxy films. From this discussion of it, it seems pretty fun. I may have to go to Disneyland, and check it out.

bexruns374 XPAfter reading an article on it last night from Inside the Magic, I’m actually a bit more hopeful!

10dedfish177 XPI would consider heading out to DL to ride it, but only after Star Wars Land is complete.

arielstravels20 XPAs a girl whose been to DCA a gazillion times (I have the luxury of living 3 hours away), I was extremely upset that they were taking TOT away. It just fits the area and theming all too well. I have no issue if Disney wanted to bring in a Guardians of the Galaxy attraction, Im all for it (I love GotG). But being for a long time in DCA, Frozen took over three different areas in the Hollywoodland area (Hyperion Theater where the famous Aladdin Musical used to perform, Muppets 3D taken away to add a Frozen sing along, and lastly a play snow area in what used to be and empty building that housed Who Wants to Be a Millionaire), it just seems to make sense to me to take over one of those areas, demolish and reconstruct a entirely new concept of a ride. I really hate to be negative, but I have a feeling its gonna be an eye sore. When taking pictures coming from the Grizzly Peak area looking towards Carthay Circle, TOT still looked like it fit the theming given both of their time periods. IDK, Im gonna give it a chance, but I’m still bitter about them taking TOT away. #rantover lol

I’m pretty sure they’re just looking to turn that entire area (the Hollywood Backlot area) into Marvel Land. I LOVE the retro Hollywood stuff and REALLY don’t want it to go away but with everything they’re doing (GotG and now Superhero HQ coming over and the dance off with Star Lord) it just looks like that’s what they’re going to do.
March 23, 2017 at 8:12 am #18963A dance off with Star-Lord? Oh boy, this may be the motivation my husband needs to finally take me to DL! He LOVES Star-Lord (he cosplays him on occasion).

Yes! That’s one of the things that they’re bringing in for the summer. Who knows how long it will last though.
March 23, 2017 at 3:31 pm #19102This all sounds very interesting!!! Hopefully we can make it out there one day

StupidJudy71 XPI still think it looks like a Transformers, maybe it’ll transform back into ToT once in a while?
I would love to see what they did to the actual ride, I love ToT!

bexruns374 XP@stupidjudy I said the same thing! (about it looking like a Transformer)
If the ride itself is the same, they can do what they want to the outside and themeing. (ducks from tomatoes)I mean, I will miss the 1930’s vibe but I’m sure after the first few visits I’ll get over it.

bexruns374 XPAwesome! It’s comforting to know that the ride itself isn’t really changing, just the theme/story. And I’m excited for a GotG dance party. I hope they’re doing soft openings of all this while we’re at DL for Tink.

This is the Mattercam. It does highlight GotG Tower. Best viewed in IE
