It is hard for me to say one particular resort is my favorite. There are a few resorts I love, and really what I am looking for in a particular trip usually influences the “love” level. Also, recent changes that have/are taking place at resorts may impact how I feel about them. That being said…

My favorite would be the Polynesian, my stay in 2012 was absolutely magical. Loved the theming, loved the service, and loved the aloha spirit that was found in both cast and guest alike. However, since the remodel and addition of DVC, the feeling in the resort has changed. Though I have not stayed since then, I truly fear that I will be disappointed. Visiting to eat/shop/drink I felt the vibe has changed for the worse, and cannot say I’m in a rush to return.

For overall combination of theming, service, price, and experiences. Caribbean Beach Resort has been fantastic. But, photos of the new fence around the lake really kill the ambiance, and I have read that there are sight balloons in place to replace one of the “islands” with a multi-floor building. Plus rumors of DVC being added to the resort… There appears to be magic plundering pirates in the Caribbean.

I have only had one less-than-magical stay at any WDW resort, and many have points that are unique or somewhat unique to them that make them magical. I would eventually like to stay at each resort on property. Only time will tell if one comes out clearly on top for me. :map:

we mostly stay at the value resorts because we never spend time there except to sleep, but we did stay at a new resort, we stayed at AOA and that is our new favorite, I love that there are no other resort stops on the bus and the kids loved everything about the resort !

If I want to be in the middle of everything, Contemporary. If I want total seclusion and to be out of the way, Wilderness. If I want a little of both, Polynesian. Favorite value resort has to be Pop Century. The stay I had at Polynesian got me so deep into the theming that I was humming the flowers song from Tiki Room whenever I walked around the resort.

I’ve stayed at all the All Star Resorts, but the last few years we’ve stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort. I love it there. I think it’s my favorite.

For us it is the Polynesian. Before the renovation (and even now), you can walk in there and you immediately feel like a kid again from the sights and smells. Also when you stay there, as any of the other resorts on the monorail loop, you really feel like you never leave the park. I love being able to hear the train from the beach and watch the fireworks from the pool area.

My favorite value would be POP, but we really don’t venture to the Values anymore (we really like having Queen beds and double sinks).
We have stayed at French Quarter, Riverside and Caribbean Beach Moderate level. We really loved our room at Caribbean Beach, however, the 7 bus stops was a big downside to us and would only stay there again if it was a super low rate like we had just gotten. I love the size of French Quarter, the single bus stop and the food court. But we really felt that our room was a bit blah and in need of a refurb when we stayed there last April. We absolutely loved our room at Riverside (we were in the brick townhouse style section by the Mansions). The room was beautifully decorated and in great repair! We also loved the grounds. I believe it has 4 bus stops but those felt very manageable to us and will be staying there again in April! So Riverside is my favorite Moderate!
Deluxe Resorts, I’ve only stayed at Wilderness Lodge and that was 20 years ago! But I absolutely loved it! We really want to stay there in the future. But I just love the overall feel of the resort, the size and the location for sure! On my bucket list is the Poly! I really want to stay there at some point, maybe for a big anniversary or birthday! But we also want to stay at the Beach Club during Food & Wine to be able to walk to and from EPCOT but also when it’s warm enough to enjoy their awesome pool!

The Polynesian is my favorite and has been since I was a kid. When they opened up DVC units for sale there we jumped all over it. I love that I can call it a home resort now, however, I am disappointed in what they have done with the renovation in regards to the bungalows. They are way too expensive and are in the way of first floor rooms blocking their view. I love the idea of the bungalows but it wasn’t planned out very well in my opinion. Close second and almost a tie with the Poly is the Wilderness Lodge. There are quite a few amazing resorts across WDW but you asked for my favorite! :ears:

My favorite is the Beach Club Resort. I immediately feel happy as soon as we walk in. I love the smells of the lobby, the upscale feel, but it’s not stuffy at all. And, I really love Stormalong Bay and the path along the lake to Epcot. Our favorite by far!!!

I can answer this 2 different ways:

My favorite resort that I have stayed in: Coronado Springs Resort. This is my favorite resort that I have actually STAYED in because I really love the Mexico theming – we have stayed in the Cabana and also the Casita sections and we absolutely love it! The pool is amazing, as well as the pool bar! We really do like the ease of navigating around the main building and love all the different food options.

My favorite resort that I love to VISIT: Wilderness Lodge. While we have never actually stayed there, we love the general feel and theming of this resort! The restaurants are wonderful, and the boat to MK is a huge plus!

Monetary wise, I like Port Orleans French Quarter…. best bang for the buck
Location wise would be The Boardwalk, Yacth and Beach club. You can walk to two parks
Theme wise is a tie for me, Wilderness Lodge and the Polynesian.

my favorite overall is Old Key West because it is secluded and quiet compared to the bustle of most of the resorts. Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani village with savanna view was magical as well. Our next stay is at the Polynesian Resort and I am excited…

Yay another OKW fan! that’s why I love it! After a long day of crowds at the parks, you don’t want to come back to crowds at your resort. I feel like I’m the only person staying there a lot of the time, unless I’m at Turtle Krawl. Have fun at the Polynesian! I am really wanting to stay there sometime!

Of the resorts that you mentioned, I have only stayed at POFQ, but we have visited every resort and I agree with your answer 100%!
