Has anyone ever “rented” DVC point before and if so how was the experience? Looking into as an option for next trip.Thanks
-JoeI’ve rented DVC points a bunch of times, I only stopped renting when I finally decided to buy into DVC myself
I had great experiences renting points, it allowed us to stay at resorts that we would not be able to afford otherwise. DVC is a different animal than a regular hotel reservation, and some of that depends on who you rent through. I also rented through individuals rather than one of the rental agencies. If you do your homework, then it’s a great way to cut out the middle man. If you have any specific questions, you can ask them here or shoot me a PM
Sure. We have rented several times over the past few years. The experiences have been from exactly what you would expect to way beyond that depending on the person we rented from. We have never used a business that specializes in it but have always rented directly from the member. Our last trip was just a couple of weeks ago. Glad to answer any questions you might have
