From what I can tell gaiter masks are allowed and accepted. I know Disney Food Blog is not official Disney sanctioned but here’s the article where I found it:

Here’s What Qualifies — and Doesn’t Qualify — as a Mask in Disney World!

My mother-in-law found a new passion with sewing face masks. LOL I think she’s obsessed. We have so many now. And she’s wonderful at getting the right Disney characters for each person. I don’t think we’ll be short supplied when we go.

@starbee we had the same problem. Out of the 4, 2 fit me but the other 2 are even more snug. My husband can’t wear them at all and the one for my mom barely fits her. I’ve seen online that many other people are hving the same issue. So if you’re planning on ordering, size up!

@bexruns Boo! Yeah everyone seems to be saying the same thing. Pretty poor show  Sadly there isn’t a size up for hubby!

I emailed Disney the same day I started this thread and I got an automated reply about 3 days later saying once an order is made it can’t be canceled unless it’s a pre-order. Helpful, that’s not at all what I said in my email so thanks for ignoring me Disney…

I will look to see if I’m able to donate my face masks.

Disney has confirmed that gaiters and bandanas will not be acceptable face coverings. Must have ties or ear loops.

And I’m sure they’re going to enforce it being worn over the mouth AND NOSE
    LOL

I sure hope they do. Everything I’ve seen they are at UO so they should at WDW.

@missingWDW I think they actually will! They have groups of cast members now called “Social Distancing Squads” in all the parks and DS whose sole job it is to walk around and make sure people are wearing their masks and obeying all the social distancing rules and guidelines. They really do seem to be taking this seriously…they can’t afford another shutdown :(

A friend of mine went to an AP preview yesterday at MK and said she had a hard time keeping her face mask on while riding BTMRR. Not surprised
