Disney is Now Requiring All Cast Members to be Vaccinated

Scott Gustin has reported that Disney has informed employees and Cast Members that they will have 60 days to get vaccinated for COVID-19. The requirement will apply to all salaried and non-union hourly employees working in the U.S.

Remote Cast Members will need to provide proof of vaccination before returning to the workplace. The work-from-home calendar has been extended and certain exemptions do apply, likely for those who are immunocompromised and unable to be vaccinated.

  1. So smart! I love that they’re doing this  it’s just not practical to have a lot of CMs wear masks all the time and the exposure they constantly have, it’s for their own health and safety.

  2. RIP America. It’s been a great run….. :(

  3. This saddens me because every single person should have their right to choose what they do with their health. Not your employer, government or even your doctor. I’m 100% informed choice and 100% against forced vaccination. The CM’s should be allowed to assess their personal risk level and health history to determine if they feel the vaccine is right for them. They shouldn’t have to decide between leaving a job they love or staying and going against their personal beliefs if they hadn’t wanted to get the vaccine.

  4. While I will nearly always support personal freedoms had we not vaccinated nearly everyone when I was a kid we would still be dealing with polio today. Another nasty disease most people don’t get but those that did were usually affected for life. And that’s not the only example.

Then there’s the folks who regret not getting the vaccine as they die https://ktla.com/news/nationworld/i-should-have-gotten-the-damn-vaccine-las-vegas-father-of-5-dies-after-contracting-covid-19-in-socal/

This will sound ridiculous but there’s not that much difference between not believing in red traffic lights vs not believing in a vaccine that can also keep you and others alive.

  5. I’m sure we can all agree that it is upsetting that things have come down to this. I have my views, but cannot add anything more to what one person has already commented. I’ll keep my stuff to other platforms and keep listening to the music here.

  6.
