4 Thing You May Not Know about Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
1. You will find yourself entering the planet of Batuu.
Batuu is a planet we have not been able to experience on the big screen. However, in Solo: A Star Wars Story, you can hear L3-37 talk about the planet’s famed Black Spires. This is a remote planet which lost its prominence after the invention of hyperspace travel.
2. The encounters at Black Spire Outpost are amazing
The Black Spire Outpost is a spaceport known for its inhabitants who wish yo go unnoticed. You may find villagers selling good or smugglers moving cargo for the infamous Hondo Ohnaka. The First Order’s presence can be seen there too due to the high level of Resistance activity.
Rumor has it if you have the Disney Parks App, it will remember your activity as you traverse the planet. For example, if you failed your mission on Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run there might be a bounty on your head… so watch out for those hunters!
3. Batuu has plenty of new places to dine and shop
Two major attractions at Batuu are Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance (opening later this year). The sights, smells, tastes and sounds are going to be of Star Wars. There will be plenty of food & beverage and merchandise locations.
4. You can start visiting Batuu on May 31 in Disneyland and August 29 in DHS.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is the largest single-story land expansion in Disney history coming in at 14 acres!
