    Tuesday January 9th:
6am alarm. We finished packing the last minute stuff. We dropped off our checked bags at airline check in and left our carry ons with bell services. We had our last breakfast with Mickey waffles. Caught the bus to MK and arrived just before 9am! We waited for Scott and Kathy by Haunted Mansion. Then over to Jungle Cruise with a 20 minute wait. Then over to Thunder for our FP. Then Pooh with our FP. Of course, Team :pooh: :tigger: had to sit together and Ryan and Kathy just rolled their eyes at us! LOL This was our final ride of the trip. We said our goodbyes and had huge hugs with Scott and Kathy! It seriously feel like they are family to us and have known them forever! They are super awesome and genuine people. We loved every minute with them! We left at 11am and got on a bus quickly. Dropped off at Riverside by 11:15am. We had lunch in the food court. I had a Cajun Chicken Sandwich. Ryan had the Bayou Burger (burger topped with beef brisket and beer cheese fondu). Both were very good!!! We walked through the gift shop while we waited for the Tragical Express and picked up our carry on bags. DME at 12:50pm for our 5pm flight. Since it was still the holiday season, they were picking guests up 4 hours before their flights!! :surprised:  It was ridiculous and not needed. When we got to the airport, the lines were very minimal. But we stayed on the pre-security side for a bit. Ryan and I shared a Cinnabon. We went through security around 3pm with just a 20 minute wait. We grabbed Starbucks on the other side. We got a brand new Southwest plane, it was pretty!! It was our plane to our Austin layover. They even play music over the speakers while you board and disembark! On our stop in Austin we ate at Salt Lick BBQ and it was delicious!! We napped a bit on the hour flight to El Paso. We landed at 9pm, grabbed our bags and walked to the car. It’s an hour drive home and arrive around 10:40pm. Winnie pup was home and so excited to see us! We did minimal unpacking just so we could get what we needed to brush our teeth and get ready for bed. We were pooped!
    Miles logged 6.6

This was seriously such an amazing trip. We knew it would be different going into it. We knew our park time would be minimal as well. This trip was strictly to complete the :dopey: challenge. The parks were used more as a place to stretch our legs and get a bit of entertainment. We took our park time nice and slow, and just took in all the ambiance as well. It was so amazing to finally meet Scott and Kathy!! We’ve been “friends” for at least 5 years now, but never met!! We’ve been family for at least the last 2 years now. They are absolutely awesome and we can’t wait to see them next month!!! It was also great to meet Nancy, Sue and Sam!! I’ve known them for years on here as well!! This was a once in a lifetime trip and I always remember it!! We never plan to run a full marathon again!! LOL The training is just way too time consuming for us. But we are so glad we took on this challenge. I always said that the only way I would ever run a full marathon would be at WDW, and I did just that!!!! Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed following our crazy adventure! I will work on posting pics from the races and trip soon!

Team :pooh: :tigger: forever! I think they were pretty good at humoring us. ;)
We are totally family. It was such a fun time and trip with you guys! You are right, totally different. It was races that happened to be at Walt Disney World. And yet, even with the limited park time and elevated crowds we still got through all our must-do’s at least once and just about everything else. Anything we didn’t get to was down on the priority list anyway for us. Just such a great trip, we loved every minute of it and certainly memories for a lifetime!

Team :pooh: :tigger: Forever!!! I think Kathy and Ryan did a good job humoring us!! LOL LOL Only a few eye rolls! ;) We are family!! Exactly!! I was surprised when I was reading back through my notes on just how much we still did on this trip! We hit all of our majors, and some a few times! It was such a fun and memorable trip! I’m looking forward to our trip next month where we have far fewer races and a lot more fun park time!!!!

What a very fitting last ride. Perfect for both of you.
A new Southwest plane that played music?!?!?! I need a ride on it! Well, first I need an airplane ticket, specifically to California :P
Seriously, a marathon is a huge accomplishment and I cannot congratulate you enough. And to have Scott and Kathy there to cheer you on (and the far-distanced cheers from me :goofy: ) makes it all the more better.
If I ever decide to run a full marathon (a very slim chance of that happening :stitch: ), it has to be at WDW and I’d need a few pals for support *WINK WINK* :P LOL

It was the perfect last ride for sure!!!
The new plane was awesome!!! I hope we get a new one again next month!! I really hope you can get out to CA!!!!!
Thank you so very much!!!  I would only run a marathon at WDW! I couldn’t imagine just road running with nothing exciting to see! Our training runs were tedious when we went passed 17 miles! :surprised: I would do my absolute do my bestest to be there to cheer you on!!! And if I couldn’t be there in person, you would still hear me cheering!! I seriously thought about everyone I knew that was cheering me on throughout the marathon, including you! It really helped to keep me going!!!

Why would anyone run a marathon with nothing exciting so see as you go? I know there was one in Orlando last year where you ran through Downtown and you got to create your own Ice cream sundae at the end, but there’s not much excitement in a race like that.

I really don’t understand road running for distance races! It is too monotonous for me! At WDW you got to run through the parks and have big things to look forward to!! That sounds like a wonderful and wise woman! :minnie:

And there’s the rare characters at WDW too! I need to stop giving myself reasons to run a race, I can’t even stay dedicated to my schoolwork! :goofy:
