January 11, 2018 at 11:20 am #62340okay I have to say i think this is a good change. although i might find myself walking down the streets singing “believe it or not…i’m walking on air…” while singing it i would think – that’s not a Disney show! so i think i would appreciate it feeling more Disney. I never felt like this park had a Disney vibe at all – it just didn’t mesh with the other parks. So i think this will make it fit in better. just my opinion of course.
January 11, 2018 at 11:53 am #62348Reading the article, it’s not as bad as I feared. I was afraid they would remove the whole vibe and I love the Golden Age feel with the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s music. Glad to see they are keeping that, it will just be different music within the same genre. As for the RnRC courtyard, I don’t understand why they’d mix other bands and songs in with Aerosmith (or remove Aerosmith completely) unless they’re just tired of paying royalties.
January 11, 2018 at 12:01 pm #62349Hmmm this is interesting! Not sure how I feel about it just yet. It usually takes me a while to come around to any big changes. Plus I’d like to hear the music before I make a call on it either way. I loved the music at the park with all the movie soundtracks and such. At least, we can still enjoy them right here on D-COT.
January 11, 2018 at 12:37 pm #62373@starbee, same here, I was worried we would lose the old Hollywood vibe!
January 11, 2018 at 12:49 pm #62374I like it. With the changes of the park moving away from a studio, it doesn’t really make sense to have tv shows playing. And while we like those shows, most people in their 20s and under won’t even know half of them.
The Rock N Roller Coaster one had me puzzled at first. But it makes sense and I think I will like the variety. In the courtyard, it is sounds of a distant concert festival with lost of different bands. But then inside, it is the one band “plucked” from the festival as a focus. I think it works.
I have no idea what to expect on Grand Avenue. That description in the article does not help me at all! LOL!
January 11, 2018 at 1:49 pm #62386@ferg it reminds me of the little side streets on Main Street where there are sounds coming from the windows above, like a dance class for example. Love those little touches! It’ll be fun to walk along Grand Avenue and listen!
January 11, 2018 at 2:14 pm #62388I’m sure Steve and Chelle will look into this as soon as possible.
January 11, 2018 at 2:18 pm #62389I love those little touches too! I just didn’t understand the remaining part of that area’s music. But I will likely like it! There aren’t many tracts I don’t like, but there are a few (Speaking to you China Loop!).
January 11, 2018 at 2:21 pm #62390I’m sure of that. There’s already a discussion here https://www.d-cot.com/topic/new-music-at-studios/ so in the interest of keeping things in one place I’ll just direct this over there, k?
January 11, 2018 at 5:29 pm #62437Great… this is juuuuuuust great. You know what this all means right? Right?

Ummmm…..the park opened 8 hours ago with this new music. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!!
January 11, 2018 at 6:00 pm #62441Sounds like an interesting change. Not sure how I feel about it until I can get a full scope. I wonder if they’ll keep the Muppet tracks because those are my JAM!
Although I will miss hearing the Superman Theme and the Magnificent Seven
