I need suggestions for adult fun – this will be the first trip with just me and my hubby. I was looking for special tours, events etc that will be going on in December of this year. Does anyone have any ideas or anything you have done on your trips?

We like resort hopping/touring. For example, we’ll go over to the Wilderness Lodge, maybe hike over to Fort Wilderness and back….sometimes we’ll go to Territory Lounge or Geyser Point and have appetizers and drinks. We enjoyed going over to the Wilderness villas and seeing the train replica and shopping in the gift shop or sit in front of the fire.

Walking on the Boardwalk is fun. Lots of great restaurants and it’s beautiful.

thank you! I saw Jelly Rolls – that looked fun – we are staying at the Beach Club so that sounds like a good choice to walk the boardwalk!

    Pleasure Island Oh wait :p

Couldn’t resist, sorry! But seriously, I like the suggestions already made. Wilderness Lodge is beautiful all the time, but especially at Christmas  :wreath: :tree: you could rent a surrey bike and cycle over to Ft. Wilderness, hang out by the fireplace in the WL lobby, take a carriage ride at Ft. Wilderness even, I hear that’s romantic.

Boardwalk was another great suggestion, they have a piano bar I think, Jellyrolls (maybe that’s the piano bar, I don’t know), the dance hall, a friend of mine raves about AbracadaBar. What resort are you staying at? There might be something there too.

A dessert party might be fun! Their Christmas treats look amazing! :gingerbread: or there’s some places at Disney Springs. Jock Lindsey’s looks fun albeit not very big. For a similar atmosphere you could hit up Trader Sam’s at the Polynesian :mint:

If you’re into :mint: Downtown Disney Springs has SO many offerings now! There’s also Splitsville if you’d like something fun to do. The Boardwalk is an excellent choice for an evening of fun and entertainment, and all the places along there including Jelly Rolls. So many good suggestions here already. There are also the movies at the resorts if you’d like. Yeeha Bob at POR. That would be a good, fun time. You’ve got some good choices in here.

A husband & wife trip sounds so perfect! My husband and I have 3 favorite adult places to visit at WDW:

    1. Disney Springs – Jock Lindsay’s Hangar Bar …. amazing atmosphere and cocktails! You can sit outside on the water, but I highly recommend sitting inside. The music is sooooo awesome…. very Indiana Jones-ish.
    2. Disney Springs – The Boathouse…. sit outside on the water for SURE here! The food and cocktails are terrific, and you can watch the amphibicars going in and out!
    3. Animal Kingdom – Nomad Lounge … highly recommended for appetizers and cocktails. The atmosphere is unbeatable… comfy sofas outside and also inside!

    4. We also LOVE to go Monorail Resort hopping… hit the 3 monorail resorts and check out every nook and cranny! The gift shops in each of the monorail resorts have awesome stuff!

I hope that you guys have a fantastic time! You’ll have to let us know what you decided to do!! :pluto:

Thank you all so much – those are all great suggestions! Based on what I read from this forum and researched – so far I know we are going to check out the boardwalk one night to check out Jelly Rolls and we are going to go to Jock’s at Disney Springs. It is a very short trip, just 3 nights so we won’t have a whole lot of extra time. I knew you guys would come through for us and you certainly have! Thanks again! :tree:

Isn’t there a monorail tour I have read about where they stop at different lounges along the way for snacks and drinks? It was an official Disney thing.

I would advise against the monorail drinking party. The monorail crew would also advise against it due to the unpredictable nature of the monorail

I don’t mean that drinking around monorail bar crawl thing that people do. I’m talking about the official food and cocktail pairing tour from Disney itself. This one: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/contemporary-resort/highway-in-the-sky-dine-around/

@Ferg I’m also referring to the official die around

Oh, OK, @sej101. I misunderstood. I thought you were thinking I was suggesting she do the monorail bar crawl instead of the official food and cocktail pairing thing. I guess they would have to take buses if the monorail went down, which wouldn’t be as fun and would probably take longer.
