    Hello, I’m new here and I understand that you gain points with how active you are on the site. Well my points are going backwards! I went from Level 1 to level zero while I was setting up my page. Is this normal? The more I do, nothing seems to happen. I’m not sure just how much activity you have to have in order to gain points but I’m not seeing any changes.

    On the homepage after you log in, you should see a summary of your profile on the left hand side. It will have your picture, your profile name, and underneath that there’s a green bar. The green bar shows you progress and will get bigger the more points you have. When you have 100 points, you will level up and the bar will start back at the beginning again and move as you progress to the next level. Have you noticed it moving?

    Also, if you hover under your name in the blue navigation bar at the top of the page, then click “Dashboard” from the drop down menu that appears, you can scroll down to see your current experience level. Underneath that it says “Recent Points” and it shows you how many points you got and what for. For example, mine says: 1 point for a new comment, 1 point for a new update. That way you can track what gives you points and how many.

    Okay, thank you! it says I’m at level 0 still, but it is adding up my points and the bar looks like it’s moving. Any idea how it said I lost a level and went from 1 to zero?

    This thread might help you more with why you went from level 1 to 0: https://www.d-cot.com/topic/negative-points/

    It is possible to lose points and if that takes you below the number you need for that experience level, you will lose a level. For example, you need 100 points to be level 1, so if you lose just 1 point (putting you at 99) you would go down to level 0. Removing a song from your favorites is an example of an activity that would lose a point. I’m not sure if visiting your Dashboard would show you when you lost a point and what you did to lose a point?

    @steve here’s a possible good example of a new member who went negative I believe. Can you check it out for Disneydana when you have a chance?

    @Disneydana
    , I’m not sure why you as a new member would go negative. Steve should be able to look into it for you.

    Maybe it was because I was adding and deleting songs?

    Ah yes, that could very well be it. Keep chatting and being active and you’ll gain an experience level in no time! :up:
