Realizing that my status about a song quickly got buried in the depths of the newsfeed, I figured “why not create a thread where we can discuss our favorite aspects of tracks in the jukebox?”
I’ll start:
Epcot – American Adventure Pavilion – Dogfight and Newsreel
I enjoy the homage to a long-gone Disney ride! Did you hear it?!I have a few more details from songs that I’m happy to share, but I’ll open the floor to others.
April 13, 2017 at 11:47 am #22351For some reason, I enjoy how on some of the tracks you can hear people on the attractions. At the end of Soarin’ now I always find myself saying “That was cool, you alright mom?” because that’s what the person in the track says at the end :p
April 13, 2017 at 11:49 am #22352In “An Evening at Epcot”, I love the part when the torches are blown out. It gives me goosebumps when I’m there in person AND when I hear it on the track. It’s just perfect!
April 13, 2017 at 11:54 am #22355Honestly, the Haunted Mansion tracks are my favorite. It’s my favorite ride and I can recite the entire spiel right along with the track.
April 13, 2017 at 12:22 pm #22365@kcboston some tracks really lend themselves to that atmospheric experience — especially the rides! I’ll have to think if any come to my mind… probably Paint the Night.
@imarebelpilot I find that quite interesting — and dedicated!
@connie96 I know exactly what you’re saying. How cool that, in that moment, we’re connecting with millennia of humans! Gives me chills just thinking about it!But my favorite moment of exuberance in a Disney track? The Spectromagic herald trumpets. We don’t have them yet on D-COT (I need to get off my duff and get them to @Steve!), but here’s a YouTube vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VS0ru82gfg&t=750s. I never get of listening to them!
April 13, 2017 at 12:30 pm #22371@PA_timekeeper, what ride are you refering to? I listened to it and didn’t get it. :|

Magic Kingdom – Tomorrowland – If You Had Wings ~ Eastern AirlinesWhat a subtle reference tho! Not that I had ever experienced If You Had Wings — just enjoyed the music.
But I was legit heartbroken that Delta Dreamflight was taken out. I don’t know why, but I found that ride to be a hoot! And the “prepare for supersonic flight” tunnel was just the coolest thing. (When I was eight. Still is, btw.)
April 13, 2017 at 2:20 pm #22397@PA_timekeeper, going to give it another listen and see if I catch it!
I did get to ride If you had wings, sometime between 1980-84! Yes, that tunnel was super cool at the time!!
I am not sure if I checked out Dreamflight during our 1995 visit, don’t remember!
April 13, 2017 at 2:24 pm #22398Ugh I’m sooo JEALOUS @StupidJudy! Of your trips to Disney back in the day… and of your stupid (well… awesome) username!
April 13, 2017 at 2:29 pm #22399I miss 80s Epcot!! Ok back to the topic

April 14, 2017 at 3:36 pm #22525I miss 80s Epcot!! Ok back to the topic
So do I… :'(
I’m not ashamed to say I come close to tearing up listening to audio that brings back memories of my first time there.
April 20, 2017 at 2:16 pm #23194Today’s find is in
Tokyo Disneyland – Fantasyland – Pooh’s Hunny Hunt Queue Loop at about 42:10.It’s a little Leonard Bernstein! Along with “The Wonderful Thing about Tiggers” is a rhythmic homage to his classic “America” from West Side Story. (https://youtu.be/Qy6wo2wpT2k?t=2m38s)
April 21, 2017 at 12:33 pm #23334going to give it another listen and see if I catch it!

No, I guess my ears aren’t as fine tuned!
