Moana was a lot of fun.
A nice spin on the “Disney Princess” theme that the studio has down to a science. It got a bit silly in the middle, when it came to her partner, Maui, trying to get his hook back. Still, it was fun. Great songs.
Stick around for the post-credits scene.
Sadly, I don’t know what the scene is, since my projectionist was a fool, and ended the movie during the credits. No one tell me what it is — I’ll find out, eventually.
November 28, 2016 at 5:43 pm #1787unfortunately we didn’t make it to the end either, but I thought it was a great movie. I don’t know what I liked more – the animation or the soundtrack. so far I’d say soundtrack, only because we bought it yesterday and we’ve listened a good bit since.
too early to say this, but I’m gonna go out on a limb and say either Moana or Rogue One soundtrack wins soundtrack Oscar. But Rogue One better bring it because the Moana soundtrack is so good.
December 5, 2016 at 1:41 pm #2537Glad to hear it was good! Maybe we will go check it out!!!

Yea!
December 9, 2016 at 12:46 pm #3172I saw Moana finally! I loved it! I could really relate to Moana and I was super impressed that almost every actor was also the singing voice for their character. (Very impressed by The Rock especially!) The animation was incredible and I loved the soundtrack! The songs were memorable and I left singing Moana’s theme. I thought the movie could have been condensed a little, like GoofyfanChuck said, it got a little repetitive in the middle.
I also loved the short before the movie, Inner Workings. Story of my life! Very well done. I wish that had been a whole movie! Post credits scene was funny, but extremely short so you’re not missing much if you don’t sit through the credits. It’s on YouTube
December 9, 2016 at 1:51 pm #3186Thanks for the reviews you guys!
December 9, 2016 at 2:51 pm #3200It looks like I will have to listen to the soundtrack!
December 12, 2016 at 9:09 am #3426Great movie and great sound track! FINALLY THE ROCK has made another Disney movie! He is a Disney natural. I swear I have you’re welcome and shiny and how far I’ll go on a continuous loop in my car for the kids. I’m pretty sure we also missed the extra scene during the credits also. Oops
December 12, 2016 at 9:33 am #3429Go check it out on YouTube! It’s there and really short, like 10 seconds. But it’s pretty funny! I had Shiny in my head for probably 4 days after I saw the movie
December 12, 2016 at 11:19 am #3456We went and saw Moana yesterday and my husband and I loved it! It was a lot of fun and the songs really get stuck in your head! Thanks for the tip on the scene after the credits, we did not stay so I just watched it on YouTube.
January 18, 2017 at 8:26 pm #8028I saw Moana, Mark Mancina did great composing the songs, The Rock plays a good character of Maui & Thank you! The film dominated the box office before the new year.
January 19, 2017 at 9:17 am #8145I was really impressed by all of the actors also being the singing voices. I couldn’t believe The Rock could sing! I’m still listening to the soundtrack
