Friday January 24th:
3am alarm. I got maybe an hour of sleep due to a severe allergy flare up after returning to the desert after our trip two weeks ago. Left home just after 4am. Airport at 5am. No lines anywhere. Breakfast burritos before our flight. On time 7am to Dallas departure. Grabbed nuggets at Chick-fil-a and Starbucks for caffeine. Our next flight was on time and we landed a few minutes early into Orlando, just around 2:30pm. In queue for Magical Express at 3pm and on by 3:15pm and on our way at 3:35pm. First stop Riviera then Caribbean Beach. An unusual route to Pop. We were dropped off at 4:15pm. Bought our new refillable mug, our other one had just expired. Our room was ready and in the 1950’s section per our request. We got our park bag ready and changed clothes. Left our room at 5pm and at our bus stop to MK at 5:20pm. There were no lines at security. Hit out Peter Pan FP just before 6pm with a bit of a wait. Met our friend, Paige, at Pecos Bills. Ryan and I had nachos and tacos. Space FP at 7:15pm. Skipped our Thunder FP since we didn’t want to get stuck at the back of the park when it closes at 8pm. Paige ordered custom Magic Bands in the Space Mountain shop and selected to pick them up at the Main Street location, should be ready in 20-25 minutes. We took the bypass route and stopped in the Confectionary on Main Street for Rice Krispie Treats. We stopped in to get her bands but they wouldn’t print hers because it had her Instagram Handle on it and they don’t allow it. They let her change it to her nickname and would reprint it, but it would be another 15-20 minutes. Happy Ever After had just started so we ran out to watch it from below the train station and ate our treats. Just before the finale we popped back inside for her band and it was ready within a few minutes. We beat out the majority of the crowds and went towards the bus to Pop. Paige is staying there too. We waited less than 10 minutes for a bus and the line got massive behind us. Filled our mug with Sprite and walked her to her room. We got to our room, unpacked and settled for the night. Lights out at 10:30pm.

September 24, 2020 at 11:04 am #141060It was probably Covid, looking back. But we were all having such bad flare ups! It was such a nice evening with Paige!!
September 24, 2020 at 11:18 am #141062I’m sure it was. Just nobody knew it yet.
September 24, 2020 at 11:35 am #141063Yep! Plus mixed with allergies though.
October 25, 2020 at 8:37 pm #141870Wow, what a great amount of sleep. I hope you were able to maybe sleep a bit on the plane. But sounds like a nice fun night at MK with Paige! Glad you guys got to hang out some more!
Good pics too! Love the ones with Paige! And I especially love the one with Ryan at the bicycle sign! And MAN do those treats look good!!! I’m practically drooling! Really good Tomorrowland pics too. I love how Tomorrowland looks at night. Haven’t seen that in a long time…like way before the shutdown evenOctober 26, 2020 at 12:00 pm #141895@sej101 So much sleep! Nope, I didn’t sleep on the plane either! It was a fun night with Paige! Thank you!! The treats were super tasty!! Oh man! That was a long time ago that you saw it at night then! I love how it looks at night too!
October 26, 2020 at 6:17 pm #141904Geez…how on earth did you manage an entire travel day WITH theme park WITH social interaction with a friend on only one hour of sleep?!?! That sounds humanly impossible…I’m amazed you did it Yeah, but to be fair we don’t really spend nighttime at the parks anyway, so it makes sense
October 26, 2020 at 6:57 pm #141905I have no clue! Must have been Disney Magic! I really have no clue how I did it either.
Very true that you don’t spend nighttime in parks. But with time changing this weekend and the days getting shorter, who knows! You may be there well after dark one of these days!October 26, 2020 at 7:34 pm #141912That’s very possible. Disney magic is very powerful…. That’s true! We still have 12 days left for the year, so it’s definitely a possibility!
October 26, 2020 at 7:44 pm #141918It really is! I mean, we legit usually only get a few hours of sleep from excitement on our travel day anyway. So this was a bit less but not by much! It will be dark near dinner time by next week! So it’s highly likely you will experience it before the end of the year!
October 26, 2020 at 9:18 pm #141923That makes sense! It’s already dark close to dinner this week! Although we have daylight savings coming up, so that will…do something I just need MK to stay open long enough for me to see Tomorrowland then!
