I like the Mansion room but much prefer the theming of the Alligator Bayou. Can you specifically book that section or do you just request it and then they may or may not honor it?

We love it! We actually prefer the mansion section. It’s just personal preference! You can put in a request, but of course you aren’t always guaranteed requests. The hard thing with the Alligator Bayou section is that it’s a huge maze! The Alligator Bayou rooms have just 3 tiny drawers for storage under the pull down bed. So that makes it challenging if you like to unpack and settle. The Mansion rooms have 3 good sized drawers.

I have stayed in a Mansion room and really enjoyed it and the views of the property. :ears:

Agreed! I feel like you have better views in the mansions because there are more courtyard or river views. I feel like there is a lot more of looking at other buildings in Alligator Bayou. That’s how our room was. It was “courtyard view” and we looked at plants and such, but also directly at another building. It felt very claustrophobic. Whereas in the mansions we typically have looked at a large grassy area, the fountain or trees. Once we were the very last garden view room before becoming a standard view. If you looked just a touch to your left, you just saw parking lot, but if you looked straight ahead, it was a fountain. It really is hit or miss on any given room! I don’t look at the view from my room much, but I love walking out of my door and seeing a beautiful view. It felt much more open at the mansion rooms since the building layouts are very different and more long and expansive.

Be sure and see YeeHa Bob one evening while you are there! He is so much fun! And the boat ride to Disney Springs is beautiful.

Before we became Vacation Club members, we always stayed at POR. It is still my husband’s favorite!!!
