At the end of the video, it looks like she squeezed his backside (of water!)

I’m excited for this! But, as Scott pointed out on FB I really do hope that they don’t change the ride because of the movie. In fact, I hope they make the movie really close to the ride!

I have hope though

I’m as excited for The Rock to be as a skipper, Hopefully it will be based on Walt Disney’s Attraction ride?

Knowing WDWNT track record, this may, unfortunately, be wrong. And another note to hit on is that this article was published a year and a half ago. Hopefully it still holds up and that we get to keep the Jungle Cruise how it is, even if it’s too corny.

okay but they didn’t change HM after that movie came out or CBJ. and Pirates…well adding johnny depp in a few scenes doesn’t bother me…the big redhead change had nothing to do with the movie! they won’t do anything bad to the jungle cruise…and to quote my skipper “and if you don’t believe me, you’re in…”

I saw Rock’s live stream on Instagram and he said there “might be puns” in the movie. In the trailer you can see the “backside of water” pun.

The Jungle Cruise was originally drafted as a knock off of The African Queen. Technically, it had no real plot except to copy rivers in jungles around the world and the community of those locales so there is no real story to change.

PotC changed a bit with the movies. Davy Jones, Capt Barbosa and Capt Jack Sparrow were all added. Recently the red headed woman being sold was changed into a pirate selling chickens because the thought of selling women was upsetting. Davy Jones was also removed during this remodel. Redd is now a Face pirate character that wanders NOS with Jack Sparrow. (All DLR references).
