That’s the official title of the sequel, which will no doubt be a complete tear fest.

It’s slated to hit theaters on July 8th, 2022.

I read a rumor, regarding what the plot of this movie is going to be.

If it’s true, then we need an emoji between :surprised: and  (and this is me trying to keep the post clean)

Good song, but… sorry. I’m not feeling it.

Hard to really figure out who is what in these clips. I’m sure it will be great but just Not sure about this yet.

It’s cool to see Namor in action.

I just wish that they would have recast T’Challa.

I understand that but I’m not surprised they didn’t. I think a lot of people would have an issue with it if they had. Marvel was in a tough spot there and either way it would be hard to keep everyone happy. I think they’ve chosen to err on the side of caution by not re-casting out of respect for Chadwick.

And yet there’s news that they may recast Thunderbolt Ross; William Hurt died this year, and they may replace him with Harrison Ford (an actor who’s older than Hurt was when he passed), but a year after Chadwick died, they started filming, and recasting T’Challa was “too soon”?

    (I’m done with my rant)

I think that’s different. Marvel demonstrated in Wakanda Forever that it did not need to re-cast T’Challa in the way they likely do need to re-cast Thunderbolt Ross. Additionally, T’Challa is a far more iconic character, an idol for so many people, which Thunderbolt Ross is not. There would be way too many emotions involved if the former were re-cast vs re-casting the latter. Furthermore, no one knew Chadwick Boseman was sick so his death was shocking and sudden. I think more time is needed to process that before making a choice to replace the actor, especially an actor of that magnitude. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion :)

    SPOILER FREE REVIEW
I saw Wakanda Forever over the weekend and I really enjoyed it! I was concerned about the run time, but I didn’t think there was any wasted time and it held my interest. The soundtrack was incredible, just like the first movie, and the cinematography was visually stunning once again.

If you’re one of those Marvel fans that stays until the end, there is only 1 scene in the credits this time.

Also, I cried in the first 5 minutes LOL

Saw it this weekend and enjoyed it. I don’t follow the comic books so I can’t judge Marvel on if it stays true to the source material or not but I left the theater enjoying what I just saw.

Since you’re not familiar with the comic books, I’ll give you a tiny bit of trivia.

After taking the heart-shaped herb, the Black Panther — whoever he or she may be — is immune to all diseases.

    ALL of them.

That means unless it’s from old age, or murder, or an accident, or in combat, the Black Panther won’t die.

Suffice it to say, the writers did not stay true to the source. It’s understandable that they were writing based on emotion, but they could have used SOME logic, along with established lore from the comics.

It’ll be on Disney+ sooner than you think (for those of us who couldn’t get to the theater to see it)
