Not literally, mentally.
Today, all I wanted to be doing was sitting on those benches on Tom Sawyer Island by the Windmill looking on the water towards BTMRR. Joe wanted to be sitting in front of the Fountain in Epcot. Pretty bizarre, but considering that last week I wanted to be in a hotel food court (didn’t care which one) I’d say that one’s pretty normal.
This happens to me and my husband just about every single day. It’s never anywhere vague either, it’s always very specific and to the point, like ‘waiting in the line for the Jungle Cruise when the queue goes to the right and you can see in the office of Albert Awol’, or ‘sitting on those wicker-looking chairs in the lobby outside of Ohana’, or ‘listening to the crickets and banjo music on the bus on the way to POR at night’.
So… where are you today?
November 21, 2016 at 10:42 am #588I’m on the Liberty Belle, with the cacophony of Big Thunder Mountain fading away around a riverbend, meandering about belowdecks, and enjoying the mesmerizing motion and quiet hiss of the steam engine and the churn of the paddlewheel. It’s a great timeout.
November 23, 2016 at 7:20 am #1454Walking around Tomorrowland, eating a turkey leg and watching some kids interact with Push, the talking trashcan. The weather is warm enough to get by with a light windbreaker and the sky is an awesome shade of blue.
November 23, 2016 at 7:43 am #1458It’s a chilly morning, so I definitely need something to keep me warm as I traverse the uneven grounds of Animal Kingdom. I head to the nearest stand to purchase myself a delicious cup of and then head to Kilimanjaro Safaris. I hope the lion is awake this morning.
November 26, 2016 at 7:17 am #1633I’m at the Magic Kingdom today, my most favorite place on earth. The decorations are beautiful, the tree is gorgeous, and I am enjoying the Christmas music and atmosphere of the holiday season.
November 29, 2016 at 10:47 am #1856I’m walking on the rose path in Epcot between Canada and The Land Pavilion on my way to Soarin’. I’ll ride Soarin’ Around the World and then head over to take a boat ride on Living with the Land. After I’m done with that, I think I’ll have some lunch at the Sunshine Seasons. Sounds like a great plan!

It actually does! I would join you in that plan.
December 3, 2016 at 12:48 pm #2407Since it’s cold and overcast at home today, I’m thinking warm thoughts and imagining being at Blizzard Beach in the warm sunshine!!!!
December 3, 2016 at 7:34 pm #2430I’m drinking a Starbucks peppermint hot chocolate at Epcot watching the Fountain of Nations
December 5, 2016 at 4:28 pm #2577I’m getting in the Christmas spirit a little more, thanks to all of the awesome Disney Christmas music here on D-Cot! So today I’m sitting on a bench on Main Street with my hot Holiday Spiced Flat White from Starbucks! To my left if the giant Christmas tree in front of the train station. To my right is the beautiful castle in all of her glory getting ready to twinkle her lights at sunset! Loving all of the garland and wreaths lining Main Street. The smell of gingerbread in the air! And don’t forget the Christmas music!!!
December 5, 2016 at 5:55 pm #2578I enjoyed a hot Holiday Spiced Flat White from Starbucks a couple weeks ago in the parks. It was not that good, but I think it was because of the person who made it.
December 5, 2016 at 6:02 pm #2579Oh man! Bummer! I’ve had two here at home at they were amazing! I’m also a fan of the standard flat white. But the holiday spice kicks it up a touch! I hope you get a better one next time!!
December 6, 2016 at 9:59 am #2647We have two Starbucks locations close to where I live, and one makes drinks far better than the other. If my husband picks up a drink for me I always know which store it came from
December 6, 2016 at 10:09 am #2658Silly but true! The grocery store here has a Starbucks and the drinks are subpar. I like the flat white (I have to add sugar tho) and haven’t tried the spiced one cuz I was afraid it would taste like chai. Does it?
And just so we don’t have to change the name of this thread to “coffee” I will say…I’m walking around the countries with my iced coffee and window shopping. Oh, look at the Doctor Who merchandise!
December 6, 2016 at 10:15 am #2661@jamiedawn27 The holiday spice flat white is sooooo good ! I usually get the flat white when I want a hot drink, and I’m not usually a fan of the seasonal drinks (no pumpkin spice or peppermint mochas for me!) but I LOVE this one
