WDW January 2017 Day 6

Monday January 30th:
5:45am Alarm. Received or Tragical Express Notice on our door. Breakfast at our hotel. Bus stop at 7:45 for an 8am AK Extra Magic Hours opening. We were thru the turnstiles by 8:15am. Everest was posted as 25 minutes but it was really 15. Then hopped on two more times before regular park opening! Then over to the Safari with just a 15 minute wait just after park opening. We got to see the baby elephant!! She was being brave by the watering hole! She was by herself at the waters edge and looking at it. She then touched her trunk to the water and ran to her mama and touched her with her trunk, like “look mama, I touched the water!!” It was so cute to see her run! My sister met us and we used our FP for safari together. We then split the huge Mickey shaped Cinnamon roll at Kusafari and it was soooo good!!! We then went and did pics with Mickey and Minnie. Then off to Primeval Whirl with a 20 minute wait. We then caught the noon Finding Nemo show Then went to Dinosaur for us to all use our FP’s. Then to lunch at Flame tree where we had the chicken and ribs and my sister had the loaded fries. Ryan and I booked a FP for Rockin Roller Coaster for the evening since it was down the other day. We then walked the Asia trail before saying goodbye to my sister for the day. Ryan and I then stopped for Tree of Life pics and walked the Discovery trail since it was actually open! Took some great pics of the tree. We haven’t been able to walk around the tree in a few years now since it kept undergoing maintenance on our trips. We then walked the Harambe trail. We stopped at Starbucks and walked shops on our way out of the park. We were at the bus stop by 4pm and dropped off before 4:30pm at Hollywood Studios. We did our online check in for our flight when we got to HS. Then off to Star Tours with a 20 minute wait. The Kylo Ren with a 20 minute wait. We can’t ever get a good picture with him. He’s talking to you and they start snapping a couple of pics and as you pose, they take a pic before you are ready. So I always have weird expressions. We had dinner at Backlot Express and I had their Chicken and Waffles and Ryan had the Dark Royal Burger (it had a black dyed bun) but tasted like a regular burger. We used our Rockin Roller Coaster FP at 7:15pm. We were getting cold and tired so we left before the fireworks but Fantasmic had just let out. So it was congested leaving. But we didn’t have to wait too long for a bus. We were back to Caribbean Beach by 8pm and stopped by the Cusoms House to pick up an envelope that Chelle left for us with some paper FP’s she had that were about to expire. We walked back to our room, packed up and had lights out by 10:30pm.
