    @chill7984 shifting the runs (at least for how I view it) would be flip-flopping your long runs on your final weeks. In other words 26 miles on week 24, and the 6+ Magic Mile on week 25…

    This should not negatively impact your training. Especially if you are going to be at the ‘World for that week 25, and racking up walking miles.

    @chill7984 I only get long runs in on the weekends. We get in 3-6 milers during the week and just the long ones on the weekends. So my advice is to just swap one of your shorter long run weekends with your long 26 miler weekend. So the weekend before your scheduled 26, do your 26 instead of the shorter run scheduled. I’ve never been great at the taper concept. And I’ve never trained for a full marathon. My longest distance I’ve ran is about 14 miles. I do know that a few weeks before the race, you slowly start decreasing mileage and I think we all have a comfortable number on how far that is. For my half marathons, we’ve often ran 6-7 miles the weekend before our races. I’m sure we would do something similar for Dopey. My body doesn’t like to drop too low in mileage between long runs, so it’s a fine balance. You have a great pace and won’t have anything to worry about! You will have extra cushion on your time to allow for photo opportunities or to just take your time in the parks to take it all in! That’s what I love to do! I usually slow a bit in the parks to savor those moments!

    @chill7984, another point I forgot is: did you submit a PoT for corral placement? Where you are in the corrals (both chronologically and positionally) is very important, especially for ability to get photo ops.
    Plus, being selective of when you stop and who you stop for. I try for characters I do not normally see in the park, and try not to group too many stops together. Obviously, if you stop for one, and get a quarter mile down the road and there is a character you absolutely love… then stop. But try to avoid the cooling down, just starting to warm, and stopping again. That can really kill a groove

    Oh my goodness! They just released the medals for our Dopey Challenge in January at Walt Disney World! We will be running the 5k, 10k, half marathon and full marathon over 4 days, totaling 48.6 miles! We will receive 6 medals! One for each race, one for completing the half marathon and full marathon Goofy Challenge, and the Dopey one for for completing all 4 races!

    @jamiedawn27 I think I’m slightly crazy too!! As we get longer and longer in our training runs, we have those “holy cow, what did I get myself into” moments! But we are right on target for training! Did a 13.1 mile run last weekend. We will be doing back to back runs this weekend with the ling one at 15 miles! That will be the farthest I’ve ever ran!
