I am excited about trying the different drinks! The menu looked tasty here.

    Sure does! :mint:

Thanks for all of the info!! USO just reduced their hours for one of our days. They had on their website that they were closing US at 7 and now have changed it to 5:00. I wrote them two days ago that I didn’t think it was right to change hours AFTER I have bought plane tickets, park tickets, and express passes. As of now, they have not responded to me at all so I’m not impressed with their Customer Service so far. :hmmph:

Oh man!!! So close! Are you doing HHN or just the regular park stuff? Let me know any last minute tips you discover while you are there! Wish our trips overlapped better. :(

Both. We have 3 nights and 3 days on property where we’ll do the park stuff during the day and HHN on our last night. My ticket for HHN is valid for multiple nights so I’ll leave WDW some nights to go back to UO again for that. I love it! Looks like the only way we could overlap would be sometime at CityWalk one evening. I will update you on any last minute things I discover! I saw on Twitter that numerous props are up now for HHN so you’ll see those during the day.

I found another article for you last week! Some it is irrelevant and some of it you already know, but it’s a short read I thought you’d be interested in:

Thank you! That is helpful. I’m a bit nervous as I have been using Touring Plans personalized plan to make sure we get all of the rides and shows in. It is showing for most rides a wait of 1 minute with our Express Pass. I hope they are accurate but that would mean the wait without it is 2 minutes, which isn’t what they are saying so……maybe they think very few of us will buy it those dates and thus, no one will be in front of us at the EP line? Grrr. Makes it hard to plan! LOL!

I think you have a good plan in place so I wouldn’t worry too much about it. The Express line is likely to still be short because it’s an off peak time. For sure though it won’t be a walk on or even 10 minutes with Express if a posted wait time is an hour for example. But with a 15-20 minute wait, I think you’d wait about 5 minutes. 30 minute wait probably 10-15 minutes. Really not that bad at all! Crowd calendars can get a little ridiculous trying to plan to the Nth degree so don’t get too invested in them. It’s a great guide that I think will still work out really well for you even if you wait longer than the 1 minute it says you will

What is a Flaming Moe’s? Do you know?

It’s basically a carbonated orange drink from what I’ve read, but it smokes.

That’s frustrating! Which day is that? They should already know their schedule like crowd levels, HHN dates, etc. there should be no reason to change, although Disney does the same thing. They’ve changed October hours on me already.

I can’t help it! Disney has ruined me with the need to plan so much! HA!

They are closing at 5:00 on October 30. I knew it was an HHN night, but their website said they were closing at 7:00 that night so I trusted them. I just thought they didn’t want too many nights in a row of closing the park early.

I think my biggest concern is that we won’t be able to ride every ride and see every street show without that two hours.

Not counting rides or shows, do you think dedicating one hour just to explore Diagon Alley and one hour to explore Hogsmeade is enough? This would be just for the purpose of walking around looking at the land, shopping, and getting a butterbeer. The rides and shows would be extra time added. Just not sure how much “explore” time should be planned for.

It really is. And the fact they haven’t responded to me is even more frustrating!

That’s a faux pas on their part. They knew full well that would be a HHN night and the park would close at 5pm, the days are the same year after year. I’m sorry :( BUT I think you can do it! I really do. You’re getting there early enough and you’ll have Express.

You could spend hours and hours and hours at both. But if you want to grab a butterbeer and look around without spending too much time in each store, yes I think you could see a lot in an hour a piece. Maybe you could prioritize the rides and knock those out first, then return to Diagon Alley or Hogsmeade? IOA should still be open until 7pm on HHN nights so you could park hop over there and use that time to head back to Diagon Alley and finish exploring. And grab another butterbeer ;)

Believe me I know! LOL I felt at times like I was squandering my time at UO last year because we didn’t really have a plan because we didn’t need to. It felt sometimes like making it up on the fly wasn’t making such effective use of our time. On the other hand it was so liberating to be able to say “Oh, it’s raining, well let’s shop in CityWalk for a bit and come back” instead of “Noooooo!!!! This is the only time I can use my Kali River Rapids FP!!!” :p

Okay @Ferg I don’t think I ever gave you the Galaxy Defender tips I promised you, so here goes:

    1. Hold down the trigger. Your blaster is automatic so give your finger a break and hold down the trigger instead of pulling it
    2. You’ll know you scored if your gun flashes green, if it flashes red you missed
    3. The aliens in windows are worth more points than the aliens on the street
    4. Look everywhere, some hide behind props and others are in disguise
    5. If you successfully hit a target DO NOT MOVE, keep hitting that same target because your points will double each time, 100, 200, 400, etc. which means you’re more likely to get more points hitting the same target multiple times than by trying to hit several different targets
    6. You will get a ton of points if you hit the opposing car’s fusion exhaust port (the bulb at the top of their car), this will also cause their car to spin if you hit it successfully. However, this is a difficult target because it’s moving as you’re moving so it might be better not to waste your time there
    7. As soon as you see the “Big Bug” and hear Agent Z talk, push down on your red button and HOLD IT to get bonus points. You can let go when he’s done talking and if you were successful your button will flash

I can’t wait to hear how you do! :)
