My very favorite is the kakigori in Japan at Epcot. It’s usually pretty warm when I’m there and it is such a wonderful treat. I always get the three flavored one. Used to get the carrot cake cookie from Writer’s Stop in DHS — I don’t know where that would be sold now, but it was a great sharing snack. The specialty cupcakes are great sharing snacks, too.

that reminds me to add the japanesse cotton candy to my list! also ooh i used to love the slush puppies you’d get from snack stands so i’ll have to try the kakigori and see what that’s like! and i believe DHS still has the carrot cake cookie, except now they have raisins in them, which to me is an abomination LOL

They all look so good! Even though it will still be the year of Hollywood Studios’s 30th birthday, I doubt they’ll still have them on my October trip :(

I thought I would add to my first response. When I go to DLR, I tend bring my own snacks. The experience is not as all encompassing as WDW. I always bring hard boiled eggs and those tiny salt and pepper shakers.

Hard boiled eggs are probably the best snack for nutrition, energy, compact, easy, and staving off hunger. I find we spend far less time at the snack/junk food stops when we bring our hard boiled eggs.

Recently, a friend who visited DLR called me and shared that the eggs were probably the best thing they did.

That’s interesting, I’m going to have to try that. I find myself in an argument with myself over it though, Half of the fun of Disney is eating all of those pretty snacks and things you only get on vacation! :smirk:

I can’t even imagine trying to navigate Disney or any other place for that matter in the heat. I just can’t tolerate heat at all. I had free tickets from a friend that worked there and my only choice was to go for Memorial Day weekend with my dad. We literally sat on a bench in AK around 2pm suffering until my dad finally said, “let’s just go back to the hotel, this is ridiculous, I don’t even want to be here because it’s too hot to enjoy yourself.” This from a man that has no problem sitting on the porch in the direct sun in the middle of Summer in the South! I plan my trips from November to the first week of March and that’s pushing it lol! I always say that the heat can suck the fun out of anything for me. :(
