Croaker24 XPwhile we all have favorites and there are plenty of new ones out, give me 3 series that you would suggest for people to at least give a try. I think we can rule out Game of Thrones…..you either watch it or don’t. so with that one in the automatic “must” watch column…give me 3 others that you recommend. (new or old)
my three suggestions are:
Man in the High Castle
The OA
White PrincessAugust 30, 2017 at 12:25 am #46745I feel in love with a show on ScyFi called The Magicians. It’s hard to describe but I’d say it’s Harry Potter meets Narnia meets the circle scenes from That 70’s Show. Sounds like a horrible mix on paper but it plays out amazingly well on screen. Season one is currently on Netflix and Seasons one and two are on ScyFi’s website. Season 3 starts in January

Girl no shame there! I started watching Pretty Little Liars in college and had to know how it all ended – 7 seasons later and me being out of college for 4 years
August 30, 2017 at 9:05 am #46802Dang, this is hard. I’m going with shows that are currently airing. My three would be:
1) Stranger Things
2) Westworld
3) The Walking DeadStranger Things is a Netflix original show. Season 2 will be released late October. Westworld is on HBO and Season 2 will be out next year. The Walking Dead is on AMC and Season 8 airs October 22. Seasons 1-6 are currently on Netflix, Season 7 should be up pretty soon.
August 30, 2017 at 10:00 am #46830I don’t watch a lot of TV, but from what I HAVE watched:
1) Stranger Things (Nothing better)
2) Parks and Recreation
3) Phineas and Ferb (there’s just too much humor that flies over your head as a kid)
4) DuckTales (the original, because the reboot only has one episode right now)
5) The Muppet ShowAugust 30, 2017 at 11:51 am #46857
bexruns374 XP1)Stranger Things

2. The Big Bang Theory
3. FriendsAugust 30, 2017 at 3:04 pm #468783. Friends
Oh Friends! Yes!
August 30, 2017 at 3:55 pm #46881My husband and I generally like different types of shows but these are three that we both really, really enjoyed together.
1) Parenthood – never saw it in broadcast but watched all the seasons over a couple months on Netflix. Just a really great story start to finish.
2) Chuck – same; watched all the seasons in about 5 weeks during the holidays one year when there was nothing new on tv. A bit of advice, only watch thru S5:E8 – that episode offers a great feel-good ending and from there to the end of the season, it goes spectacularly off the rails. (I remembered the plot of that episode but, yes, I did have to look up which episode it was.)
3) Blue Bloods – the fact that we always watch it the night it actually airs and never let them stack up on the DVR is the proof (in my eyes) that’s it’s a darn good show.Honorable mention:
We also like Madam Secretary but, it just depends on whether or not you can enjoy a show that may champion political positions different than your own.Oh and Castle was really fun, too.
I’ll also agree with @RocketEAR99 on Psych – great chemistry and just generally a lot of fun.
And with @Nascfan on M*A*S*H and Home Improvement.
And, with @Acamm on Downton Abbey… so, so good. (The hubs did NOT watch that one with me. LOL!)
Oh! I can’t believe I didn’t mention The West Wing! LOVED this one – well, okay, season 1 was just perfect. season 2 was still really, really good. After that… well, they could have done better. But, I loved it enough to buy most of the series on DVD back when that was a thing people did.
