Star Wars Dark Side – 4/15/18 – 4/23/18 – Day 7

Saturday 4/21/18
Surprisingly, after our very long day on Friday, we got to the Magic Kingdom right about 8:00! We wanted to try Starbucks sandwich for breakfast. We went into Casey’s to sit and it was quite good! We would do that again. We saw some of the trolley show and then official park opening. Heather and Ryan arrived right about then and we all rode Big Thunder, Pooh (Team Pooh Tigger!) and the Teacups. Heather and Kathy let Ryan and I get a teacup while they rode together to not spin. Oh my gosh, Ryan is the best spinner! I seriously could not see at the end! It was awesome! I think my pupils were spinning in my head! I truly think Ryan enjoyed it as much as I did! We all then went up front and rode Buzz, doing our best to save the galaxy! All of this before our first fastpasses expired a little after 10:00! We then sent Kathy to her Haunted Mansion where she got a ride in standby and then one using her FP while the three of us rode Space Mountain standby and then again using our FP. It was now time for our Big Thunder FP so off we went for our second ride of that for the day! By now the crowds from the 10k and in general had arrived and Space was up to 75 minutes standby and Big Thunder at 45. Pirates was our third FP but it went down so it became a wildcard. We enjoyed some Starbucks drinks and Heather made sure I got my strawberry puree tea that Ryan gets and I wanted to try. We all then met Ariel with our wildcard FP. We had our medals on and I got great interaction with my favorite Disney princess! Heather and Ryan were going to meet up with her sister and niece at Epcot so we all took the monorail over and got to see them for a minute and then met up with Kelly for the afternoon! We got some great Ear pictures of Kathy and Kelly and then went on to Mexico where Kathy and I wanted the nachos for lunch. Kelly went to get some food from one of the booths while we got in line for the nachos. Who showed up but Heather and Ryan and Teri and Kailey! They were getting food from Mexico too! We all went into the inside area overlooking the lagoon and Kelly came back with her food. We had the absolute best lunch with all of us! It was such a great time! Heather and family went to Soarin’ and we walked around World Showcase with Kelly and snacked and took Ears pictures for her and with her. We enjoyed things like a Dole Whip with rum (her treat, thank you Kelly!) with her and another chocolate macaron, so good! Once we got back around we got Kelly’s AP magnet from behind Innoventions and sent her on to her fastpasses and shopped a bit in Mouse Gear. I scored a 4th FP for Soarin’ in the evening. How often does that happen? We then went back into the sitting area behind Innoventions West and put our feet up for a bit until Kelly came back to meet us. We took her to the Visa Meet & Greet by Figment where we got incredible interaction with Donald and Minnie! Donald tried to eat her macaron ears! Oh my gosh it was so funny when Minnie “yelled” at him! The three of us “clam”mored into one clam mobile to ride the Living Seas with Nemo. That was so much fun! Then we all explored the Seas for a bit, Kelly and I went to see our manatee and saw one of the boys having dinner. Manatee are one of both her and my favorite animals! We then explored the butterfly house before saying our evening goodbye’s and splitting for our final FP’s of the day, Kelly for Spaceship Earth and us for Soarin’. We met up with a photopass photographer on our way out who was close to ending her shift. So she just took a bunch of pictures with us including magic shots and just had a great time chatting with us on the way out! We stopped at the Pop pool bar and enjoyed a Pina ca Lava before heading up to the room for an early bedtime. Middle of the night alarm comes early!
This was such a great day! Spending and absolutely wonderful morning the four of us, us two and Heather and Ryan, and then giving them some family time with her sister and niece while we spent just a terrific afternoon and early evening with Kelly!

Ryan is an insane spinner on teacups!!!! I can’t see straight for quite some time after! So I’m glad you rode with him this time and I just took the scenic spin with Kathy! It was hilarious to watch you boys!!
Just you and Kathy met Ariel. Ryan and I had used ours for the Tinker Bell meet. We didn’t really meet her, but tapped our bands to show it was used so we could get a chance at FP’s in Epcot. That was our closest and easiest thing to tap since we were at Starbucks and needing to exit the park. It was so funny that we all ended up eating at Mexico! Completely unplanned!!! But it was so nice sitting in the air conditioning and enjoying each others company too! I hate setting the alarm for the O’Dark O’thirty wake ups!!!
Geez, do you ever get a rational amount of sleep?!?! How do you function?
Remind me not to ride with Ryan in the tea cups unless I don’t have much choice! That sounds a bit too intense!

My goodness, I feel like you’ve gotten same-day Soarin’ FP so many times before! I know I’ve read those words so many times in your reports!
Yes, the manatees! My favorite part of that pavilion!

Rational amount of sleep? What’s that? Nope, I don’t. It’s just something you learn to deal with and function as best as possible.
You definitely don’t want to ride with Ryan unless you want to spin!
