    Tuesday 4/17/18

We knew we’d need to get to Studios early since they had TSM down to one track and no fastpasses due to Toy Story Land construction. We got there around 8:00 am and were the first at the AP touchpoints. Lauren was texting me pictures of the snow on her deck back home from a fetal position in the corner! LOL We got to chatting with the CM at our touchpoint and he got to trusting us so he had us scan our bands and “enter” a couple minutes early as long as we stayed right with him. Then when they did the family of the day thing with people “opening” the park he told us to go so we were the first at the rope on Hollywood Blvd! Wow, talk about a major stampede! Still we were on and off TSM by 9:05! At that point people getting in line for it were going to have approximately a two hour wait! Yikes! The line was insane with how many times it wrapped around Pixar Place, going this way and then that. No thank you! We met Buzz and Woody, something we hadn’t done there. They were great! We were the last before a break so they took some good time with us, killing time until they had to go. We all joked about Hamm and how we liked bacon and pork chops while Woody hid his eyes and almost fainted! LOL I used my FP for RnRC where, very unfortunately my magic band came off somewhere in the ride! So we had to head to Guest Relations where they gave me a temporary card until I could get my magic band replaced at Pop. We used our FP for Star Tours where we bypassed a huge wait in Standby! Very good use of FP! We shopped a bit and had an early lunch at Min and Bills Dockside Diner of some delicious hot dogs. Heather had turned us onto those from their last trip! We used up our last FP at Studios for Indiana Jones. We then left for Pop to get me a new magic band. Unfortunately that was giving us fits getting in the room and that took a while and a couple trips back down to the desk. It never did really get fully straightened out perfectly but it did work for getting me into the parks and FP’s so we just used Kathy’s for getting into the room for the most part. At some point it just doesn’t become worth it. This was a “pick-a-park” evening. We deliberately left it open to choice depending on what we felt like. We decided we would like to go to the Magic Kingdom for the evening so I checked potential fastpasses. We did manage to score a FP for 7DMT for later in the evening, 6:30 – 7:30! A same day 7DMT? I’ll take it!

Kathy took a small nap in the room and I headed down to the pool for a bit before heading to the Magic Kingdom. We got to see a bit of the Dapper Dans as we entered, I love those guys! We strolled up Main Street and shopped a bit, and enjoyed a waffle from Sleepy Hollow with strawberries and whipped cream. Ah, I do love WDW dinners! We wanted to just enjoy being there this evening so we took the train all the way around from Fantasyland and then used our 7DMT FP. We walked up to Tomorrowland after that and got a caramel filled Mickey pretzel form the Lunching Pad. It was good but not quite as good as we thought it would be. I think regular Mickey pretzel is still our favorite. We rode the Peoplemover for two circuits, I love giving the signal to the CM as we come around to the station to go again! We got so many compliments all evening long on our My Wife/Husband is my Happily Ever After shirts we got on D-Cot! At this point Kathy called it a night and I went onto Carousel of Progress, sitting right in the front and center! I love being that close to the stage, you can see so much detail! I got some great evening shots just after sunset as I was leaving. It was just a lovely, beautiful evening spent with my honey and a little bit of solo play time!

Oh poor Lauren! I remember your never ending winter!!!! You guys really rocked out HS! And those wait time for TSM while they were reworking the queue were insane! Great job on being there super early! That really paid off!! And great job becoming friends with the CM! That really helped you as well! Oh my goodness, your interactions with Buzz and Woody!! LOL LOL I’m still sad you lost your magic band! Such an inconvenience that the replacement never seemed to work well for you. My band somehow wasn’t even active when we started our trip this month! I discovered this when I went to enter Magic Kingdom! They cleared it and allowed me in. But it wouldn’t open our door. I actually got on the app and saw the band and it said inactive! So I switched it to Active and it worked the rest of the trip! It was strange that they sent me an inactive band! Now I will try to remember to check that before we leave next time! I loved your method of picking a park for the evening! We had a night like that on this last trip and it was nice! And great score for 7DMT!!!! I love your Disney dinners too!!! Good to know on the caramel pretzel! They sound yummy! I love that Kathy let you stay and play a little longer on your own! And you managed to behave yourself! I’m extra proud of you!!!!

Oh my gosh, I don’t know that I knew that about your magic band! What a pain! I’m sorry that happened. :( I love pick-a-park evenings! I have been known to behave….from time to time. ;) Thank you for being proud of me! :)

Yep! I forgot to tell you! But I was able to fix the issue from my phone without having to walk to the front desk! You do behave…on occasion!! LOL Of course! I’m always proud of you!!

I am SO with Lauren! Not looking forward to it this year. I will join her in the corner :)

Love that the CM sprinkled a little pixie dust your way!! Getting on and off by 9:05 is amazing!!

I don’t think I knew you lost your band?! But glad you figured it out.

And SCORE with a same day (and not super late) 7DMT!! All in all, sounds like a great day!

I was heartbroken, we had our bands say Han and Leia for the Star Wars too! We worked it out when we got home though. Kathy hadn’t ordered her AP band so we made that one say what we wanted for me. I just can’t use it in the parks but a nice keepsake.

Great morning at the Studios! Smart thinking on all of it, you really nailed Toy Story Mania good! I remember when it was all being re-routed, it was an absolute mess! Glad you weren’t a part of it! :surprised:
Oh no, not the Magicband! How ever will Disney track you throughout the park?!?! :goofy: Okay, but seriously, that is pretty saddening. Especially since you had the special names on them. And it sounds extremely frustrating to not have it work on the door! :(
Same-day 7DMT?!?!? Now that is unheard of! How awesome! :dopey:
Wait, there’s a signal for the Peoplemover to go around again?!?!? Do you mind teaching me what that is for….science…. :goofy:
Front row is pretty awesome on CoP! On our last ride, we sat in the very back, and it just wasn’t the same!

Sure! Just say “again please?” as you give a little twirl of your finger in the air, like an umpire on a home run! Easy peasy!
