All but one of my Disney trips were solo. The one time I went with friends they just wanted to hit ride after ride after boom boom boom. No taking in the details, no meeting characters, nothing. I like looking at all the details, the character meet and greets, everything. no way would my friends would have let me ride up and down Main Street in Disneyland on every one of the vehicles (one of which was WITH the Dapper Dans) or stop to listen to the ragtime piano player outside of Caysey’s Corner and sure as all get out wouldn’t have let me ride Under The Sea Journey Of The Little Mermaid 13 times in a single day. I never felt alone or out of place. I had nice chats with Cast Members and other guests in the queues. I even met a man and his daughter than lived in my hometown that I had never met before that day, and we became friends.

I don’t know that I’d ride Journey of the Little Mermaid 13 times in a row but I’d ride it once or twice. I like those slow, relaxing attractions just as much as the adrenaline rush rides. I really like Peoplemover and I’d ride that more than once I think.

In my defense 10 of those Little Mermaid rides I was trying to record a full ride through, but the ride kept stopping. tThe joys of an Omnimover. The other 3 were all me. That was the same day I had 2 meet and greets with Ariel. One at her Grotto the other at dinner at CRT and no I didn’t know shed be one of the princesses there. She did remember me though which was awesome.
