According to this article, Disney may be replacing individual toiletries with dispensers. We were just at Riverside and we still had the individual ones. I really liked the shampoo and thought about purchasing some in the gift shop until I saw it was $24 :surprised:

A lot of hotels I’ve been to this year in 2017 have the dispensers in the bathrooms / showers (Savannah, NYC, DC). I feel like this is the new normal maybe? Plus it will deter people from taking so many of the single ones and taking them home LOL

The hotel we stay at in Vegas does this too. Long gone are the days of individual shampoo/conditioner bottles.

In my experience with other hotels (not Disney), inside of the shower they have a dispenser attached to the wall with shampoo and also conditioner. They also have another dispenser above the sink with soap and also lotion.

I get why hotels are doing it. But man, a LOT of those bottles of shampoo, lotions, mini soap bars, etc. get donated to homeless shelters, children’s homes, food pantries, etc. and help a lot of people. So if everybody moves this way, it will hurt the charities that serve those populations. Of course, it isn’t the job of the hotels to provide bottles for their guests to take home and donate but to make money and decrease costs. So I don’t really blame them.
