85glht22 XPFor those that have stayed there… what can you tell me. Pros and cons and tips would be greatly appreciated. We have never stayed here and would like to make the most of it. So, what do you have??

OrangeBird14 XPI’ve been able to stay at all the DVC resorts so far and Saratoga is definitely a nice resort, but not my favorite. For me it just does not have the Disney atmosphere that most of the other resorts have. However, the walk to Disney Springs is very convenient. The last time I stayed at Saratoga a few months ago we had to change rooms 3 times due to cleanliness, smell, not proper room size that was paid for, etc. So it was not a great experience, but we haven’t had a problem at Saratoga before this most recent trip there.

March 20, 2018 at 12:02 am #70215I got the chance to stay at Saratoga probably about 8 years or so ago and it was amazing! What happened was that we were staying at Coronado Springs but there was a convention going on there filled with college interns and my dad wasnt too happy about it so we got to switch to the DVC room for no extra charge! It was awesome, you basically get your own mini apartment. I have to agree with @OrangeBird it doesn’t really have a Disney feel but other than that I thought it was beautiful and definitely an awesome experience if you’re like me and not a DVC member.

basil248 XPI stayed at here in 2009. I had a good experience, however it is not my first choice. Tough to compare to the location of Beach Club and Boardwalk, or the detail of Animal Kingdom Lodge. As already noted, the biggest pro for this resort is the ability to walk to Disney Springs. The room we had was fine for our needs (1 bedroom villa). The dining options left something to be desired, but with Disney Springs so close, and the number of options there, it wasn’t a big issue for us. The biggest con for me was the number of bus stops within the resort. Similar to Port Orleans Riverside, or Caribbean Beach, be prepared to have several stops either on your way to or from the parks. All that beings said, I would stay there again if we couldn’t get our resort of choice.

Thanks Basil! We are renting a car so those cons you pointed out will not be an issue… with that said, this isn’t our resort of choice and we weren’t looking forward to staying there but when we kept thinking about how close DS is, we were a little more excited about staying there…. quite frankly, I’m more excited now. I’ll report back when we get there or father our trip

85glht22 XPWell, we are home from our trip. We really liked staying here at Saratoga Springs. We couldn’t have been placed farther from Disney Spring though. We were set in the Carousel building and at the very end AND at the 4th floor…. so walking to DS was still quite a hike. The room was clean and we never even heard our neighbors, which is kindof a first. All went well and the weather was SPECTACULAR! The parks were crowded though, our fault for picking this week to go but our original intentions were to go on a cruise but that plan didn’t pan out :(.
